We stayed as part of a group using most of the cottages. We were very comfortable, the cottages are all well equipped, and we liked the new log burner in the main house. The owner was very helpful. We saw lambs in the barn and watched the ducks go out to the lovely stream every morning. We will be back...

We have been staying with Mrs Trafford for 20 years. The whole family are so welcoming. Although our family are grown up we still enjoy a tour of the farm. Lambing time was a particular treat this year but there is always something to see. This is a tranquil, beautiful spot with easy access to the Fells & Keswick. The...

Booked to stay at "The Nest" after receiving tickets for a tour and afternoon tea at The Lakes Distillery. Thought we may walk to distillery from here but far too much uphill even though its only a couple of miles away although fitter people would probably manage it. You can park right outside the cottage and will be greeted by...

Had a lovely relaxing weekend in the cottage, a great base for exploring the lakes. Our little girl loved playing in the beck and feedng the ducks. Such a peaceful place to holiday and get away from it all. Had a good meal at the Sun Inn just a 2 minute walk from the cottage. Can't wait to visit agan.

We stayed in Brook House Cottage 1,and for our family of five adults and three children under four years old it was the icing on the cake. We had just been to our son's wedding in Derwent Water and because we were travelling such a long way we decided to stay on after the wedding and have a holiday in...

Well I've just booked a weeks stay in this cottage, and it will be my third, so thought I should write a review. Both times I've stayed have been perfect. The cottage is very big, and even though on our second visit there were three adults, and one basset that slept in a very large crate (only fair as to...
