We made a late booking a few days before arriving, confident that we had made the right choice after reading reviews. We were warmly greeted on a very wet Saturday afternoon and shown to a delightful room overlooking the lake - definitely worth the extra flight of stairs. Our room was comfortable, with an ensuite which was spotless and looked...

Really enjoyable stay - lovely warm welcome, comfortable clean room, comfy bed, fantastic food, shower was a little on the small side but water lovely and hot. Beautiful sitting area and games room, lots of board games for a chilled evening, we booked for dinner and weren't disappointed, the choice on the menu was really good and the food was...

My daughter and partner travelled from London to share with us a long weekend from the 20th January 2017. I apologise to Ivana & Martin for my late review.Other commitments should not take precedence when you experience hospitality of such high quality. Every facet of what you expect from a hotel, and more, can be found at Ravenstone. The food...

We cannot say enough in praise of The owners of Ravenstone Manor. They went out of their way to help us and smoothed our way through the trauma of our car being totaled near Keswick. I must add, too, that the food is delicious, the bed very comfortable, and the views are lovely.

I booked an impulsive night stay at Ravenstone with my daughter and our dog and can't fault it at all! Only downside is that we couldn't stay longer. We were all greeted warmly and made to feel incredibly welcome in this beautiful stunning house, all the rooms were spotless and the views were absolutely breathtaking! We took the easy walk...

Beautiful Manor House hotel run by a lovely couple, Martin and Ivanna. They couldn't have done more for us. Our room was very comfortable and had a lovely view over the lake. Breakfast was always freshly cooked with plenty of choice. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was first class. We ate there for all of our 3 nights...

This hotel is very clean and comfortable and they also provided a bed, treats and towel for our little dog which is a nice touch. Our room had a lovely view across the lake which was so nice waking up to. The restaurant food is absolutely gorgeous. The pate starter was by far the best I've ever had and the...

We stayed 1 night 22 February and found the owners very friendly. We had a lovely view towards Bassenthwaite lake. The bedroom was nicely decorated and there were tea & coffee facilities with biscuits.

We stayed at the Ravenstone Manor last night and found the hotel and staff to be excellent. The view from the room (Room 1) was fantastic and the room was spacious; dog blanket, bed, bowls and treats were in the room for our dog. Great touch. Thank you. Dinner was very good, locally sourced produce and a relaxed atmosphere. We...
