We stayed at all 4 star hotels on the 10 day trip and this was our least favorite.
Unappealing rooms. Odd bath ‘room’,open space. Excellent breakfast. Front desk staff attentive and helpful. Must request tissues and soap(?)

The dinner buffet was of poor quality and some selections were almost in inedible. Don’t book it; don’t buy it.
Common area (by the bar) sustained water damage while we there from a leaky roof.

Goodness knows which side of bed DadLovesThis got out of.
True the corridors at the Hotel Libyans smelled of smoke and the pool was small. But the restaurant was spotless, breakfast good and staff friendly. There are lots of b good eating places nearby including the outstanding Radiona.
Korcula old town is simply glorious and very much worth visiting when touring Croatian islands.

Meals extremely boring - evening meals depressing. Staff don't police the mass numbers of local tours decimating the servery.
Staff friendly and helpful and the location isn't bad. The views across the straight are great.
Option - dodge the food and eat out unless you're tight!

View from hotel is nice and that's about it.
Took a while to get checked in.
Buffet breakfast was okay.
Rooms were very basic.
My issue was that the hotel knew that there was a grade school group that was coming in and they should have been prepared for it.
As kids will be kids, they should have separated our tour group to one wing of the hotel and the kids in another.
If that was not possible, they should have put us on the floors above the kids.
Some of our tour group members said these kids were running around and banging doors all night long that they had to call to complain. At least ours eventually stopped that by 10 pm.

This is a well-run facility, with the best view of the old town right across the bay. It’s only a 5 min. walk to the city center. The breakfast selections were first rate and the staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms are basic, but make sure to ask for one that faces the town. It’ a solid 4-star property.

Awful hotel! All fur coat and no knickers ! Definitely do not go half board which unfortunately our agents booked us on to! The meal last night was what you used to get 25 years ago- buffet bad!!! Eating out tonight !! We have had the most wonderful experience of small loved hotels in Croatia booked by our agents - this is not one!! Staff are doing their jobs and that’s it! As for notices around 8 euros for a plastic sunlounger - oh dear!!! Happy to be leaving tomorrow! I have never written a bad review as I would prefer to sort at the time but this hotel has too much to even discuss with them. !!! 😩

I went onto TA to write a review of this fabulous accommodation and am staggered by the lack lustre reviews prior to mine. We stayed in four other hotels on this trip to Croatia - all 4 star - or claiming to be. The Liburna was the best by far. Maybe we were lucky with our room but it was over two floors, with two loos, one on each floor and a lovely spacious bathroom. We had two balconies, admittedly one did overlook the car park, but the other overlooked the bay and it meant you could have sun or shade, whichever you preferred. A short walk into the old town, staff pleasant enough, breakfast pretty much standard hotel fare but perfectly fine. Nice pool area, not too busy and nice little beach close by. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My father clearly has no eyes, no sense of smell and no idea of class. The hotel was rubbish, yes breakfast was ok, however nothing more than average. The island was pretty however it doesn’t mean there was anything to do, because there wasn’t. Once exploring it, you were left with nothing to do. A one day trip, in a better hotel might be the best option. Their weren’t many restaurants, but my dad was just overly obsessed with the particular one nearby. The lunch options were very scarce, mainly being pizza. My father clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about and is just trying to disagree even when he knows it was the worst place we as a family have ever been to.

Moder hotel freshly updated set on the bay with pool and direct access to ocean. Spacious rooms with up to date bathroom and comfy bed.
Large terrace with bay view for dining or drinks.
Extensive choice for breakfast buffet but no fresh cook eggs.

The reason for my rating is the extremely high price (it was the most expensive in the area when we stayed), poor service, and unfriendly front desk personnel.
The hotel location is good; it is 10 minutes from the old town. However the beach in front of the hotel is not the best in town. Despite the expensive stay at the hotel, you need to pay for the sun beds in front of the hotel. There are many choices at the breakfast but none of them were really good. Coffee is terrible. If you are lucky, you can get some fruit, but usually the fruit plate is empty as it takes lots of time for the refill of the plate in the buffet.
The rooms are ok but clearly they do not deserve the price you pay.
We have stayed in 5 different hotels during our stay in Croatia in multiple cities and islands, this was clearly the worst in terms of value for money and customer centricity.
