We stayed here in September 2014.

Immediately after booking, Helena emailed us to check how we were arriving. At the time we didn't know, but I emailed as soon as we had booked our bus tickets and Helena met us at the bus station. The walk to the apartment has lots of steps (not unusual in Croatia, pack light) but it's worth it for the spectacular views of Korcula from the terrace! Upon arrival, Helena gave us a map and showed us places to eat and drink and things to do, which was very helpful. She also offered us breakfast for 6 euros each- which sounded like a great idea!

We had the corner room (a triple) which had a small but fully functional bathroom and a fridge. We had our own table and chairs on a shared terrace, and a washing line. There was a communal kitchen which we didn't use but looked as though it had everything you would need. There was also a shower room which you could use on day of departure. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage. Breakfast was excellent and served on the terrace- continental style with strong coffee in wonderful mugs! I'd definitely recommend taking Helena up on this offer. There was some noise from other rooms, but the other guests weren't loud, so this wasn't a problem.

In conclusion, I would recommend this hotel if you enjoy wonderful views, a fantastic host and clean, comfortable surroundings. If you're not good at steps, however, this may not be the place for you.

We recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants to spend few days in Korçula.
The location is amazing, uphill with a wonderful view on the old town but only a 5 minutes walk to the gate of the city; our host was really helpful and friendly.

We were here for 3 nights. We had 2 private terraces! AMAZING views. We had our own kitchen, so on one night we bought fresh caught and cooked ourselves. Great for couples, families anyone really.

Enjoy.

We were met by the ferry and given lots of good tips about things to see and do. The rooms were nice and the location great! We had our own bathroom, but it wasn't ensuite as described in the booking. Only downside to this place was the slamming of doors when people had to leave their room to go to their bathroom which got a bit noisy at times. But overall great value for money!

Reading all these wonderful reviews here made Drasko our first choice in Kurcula. And boy, were we disappointed :-( to be fair, maybe that's a case of wrong expectations- the place is clean, reasonably priced and the balcony does offer a breath taking view of Kurcula town, but that's the only good things I can say about it. The room was very basic, two twin beds ( would be nice to let your guests know about it in advance when they call to book for a couple). Our room was on the left side. I couldn't figure out what the room was used for originally ( maybe laundry?) but having a kind of brownish bathroom tiles covering the wall behind the bed wasn't exactly romantic or anything homey as one would expect in a B&B in Europe or elsewhere. No decorations. The shower was quite tight, overweight people would not fit there. No bathroom amenities, lots of hot water. Bring your own towel as we only got two thin hand size towels, very odd. Do yourself a favor and skip breakfast- i don't know what people were rambling about here. For 10 euros we each got 1 cup of coffee, 1 yogurt and two slices of bread and jam, and also 1 sliced tomato, a banana and an apple, for both of us. We stayed in Croatia for a week and had much nicer breakfasts for much less, or a real feast ( Epatium by split) for this amount. Helena is nice, that's true, but no wonder she takes the trouble to meet every guest in person, as you would never find this house on your own, seriously. It is located in an alley off an alley off the street. Many stairs, too. The center of town is indeed just 8-10 min walk from the house, but you have to be in good shape to deal with the amount of stairs you need to climb to get there and back. We are in shape and enjoyed the location, but I could see how this would be a problem for many. To sum it up, as the place is clean and reasonably priced, it should be presented as a vacation rental and not a B&B, to avoid expectations and disappointments. If you can afford it, go some place else. I wish I did.

As soon as I made a reservation at booking.com I received an email from our hostess Helena (daughter-in-law of the owners) with greetings and an offer to meet us. We arrived by bus from Dubrovnik, and Helena was waiting for us at the bus station with the ‘Accommodation Drasko’ sign.
The apartments are only few minutes walk from the bus station, but there are some stairs (difficult to roll the luggage). If you need assistance with your luggage I would suggest emailing Helena in advance; I saw some reviews that her husband might come and help if needed.
There are several guest rooms located at the second level with the separate shared kitchen on the ground floor. Each room has its own table on the shared terrace; there is a lovely view of Old Town of Korčula from the end of the terrace.
We had a spacious corner room with two twin beds pushed together, refrigerator, small sofa, AC and free WiFi. The bathroom was tiny.
Conveniently located within a short walk to the Old town, port and bus station Accommodation Drasko is a good budget friendly option.

We had a lovely two night stay here. Accommodation was spotlessly clean. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, and provided great recommendations for activities and restaurants - including: a pizza place on the sea front and visiting Lumbarda and the winery's! Overall a great stay in a great location (approximately five mins from the old town). The view from the terrace was stunning!

눇We had a double room with kitchenette and breakfast table, and bathroom. everything was spotless. We had two private terraces, one with shade which was lovely and the views across to the old Town and sea were breathtaking. Our hosts were charming andmade us very welcome and gave us help and advice about the area. We went to an event in Lumbarda one evening and a reliable taxi was arranged for us. We we also met from the ferry and driven up to the accommodation. There are showering and left luggage facilities available for you to use after your checkout if you need them. Very quiet area and a big supermarket is just a few minutes walk. Bars and restaurants were also just a few minutes walk in the town. The accommodation is situated above the town and there is a moderately steep footpath and steps up from the port. This was fine for us but might be difficult for anyone with limited mobility

Our room was a nice size with 3 twin beds and the location was excellent. Up a bunch of stairs from the bus station (which is a little awkward with luggage) and within a 10 minute walk from the old town. The view of the old town from the terrace is amazing (just like the picture). There's a shared kitchen area on the lowest level of the property where Helena let us store our baggage for the day since our ferry didn't leave until the evening. There was also a bathroom in the shared area that we were free to use after we'd checked out--it even had a shower and Helena said she'd provide us with towels if we wanted to use it.

These rooms are well positioned high up on the edge of old town. Our room was large with magnificent views from the balcony towards old town. Owner, Helena asks to meet you at the port because like most medieval towns walking to town is closer than driving. We had luggage and were taken by car. Thank you for this care and attention to service Helena. Helena will give you valuable information of where and when to eat out in Korcula Town. Follow her tips as restaurants do book out in summer. The property has a communal kitchen stocked with olive oil, tea and coffee. Short walk away is a large supermarket and shopping complex.

Hi, Tracie. As I have written in my review, Accommodation Drasko is an excellent place to stay. However, it is true that to get to the apartments from the old town or bus/ferry stations you have to climb a fair few stone steps (that's why it has a great view of the old town). When we arrived the owner, Helena, kindly arranged for her husband to pick us up at the ferry port in his car, and he also gave us a lift back to the port when we left. I am sure they would do the same for you and your mother. Other than that, it would depend on how your mother feels about climbing those steps. Best wishes, John
