I took a cooking class with Sybil at Casas Pelicano. It was excellent in every way. There were four of us plus Sybil which was perfect for the size of the kitchen. Several of us had food allergies which Sybil accommodated in planning the menu. We used local ingredients to create a sensational series of dishes - grilled chicken, mango/carrot/pepper...

This is exactly as advertised and then some. Very clean, every ammenity you could ask for, the owners are very helpful and yet not intrusive, and the beach is right there. Two sweet dogs will hang out with you, they are adorable, and the beach has the most beautiful shells we've encountered. Tidal pools, rocks, shells, very beautiful.

My husband and I stayed at Casas Pelicano for 3 nights, and it made us very happy. The villas sit right above the beautiful and wild Playa Junquillal, so the views from the veranda, the restaurant, or the pool are breathtaking - I could easily spend a whole morning in a hammock taking it all in. But of course, there...

After reading a few reviews about Sybil's cooking class on Tripadvisor, we decided to book a class. Sybil was a great communicator via email and was always prompt and helpful. There were 8 of us and although that was too many cooks for Sybil's small kitchen, she graciously offered to have 4 of us cook and the other 4 join...

We didn't stay here, but took one of Sybil's famed cooking class. I wanted to get an idea of the local produce and fruits, and got so much more. We made a fabulous 3-course meal, including ceviche, shrimps, plaintain, yucca, and chocolate mousse. Sybil was patient even when we chopped instead of julienned, and did a wonderful job of explaining...

My husband and I stayed at this out of the way casita for an incredibly quiet and peaceful 4 days and 3 nights. The view of the Pacific from the porch is amazing! We spent all of our time swinging in the hammock or sitting in the Adirondack-type chairs on the porch. A very short walk to the beach, which...

Our car broke down and the B&B's we had used in the past were full. I had heard of this "cooking school" B&B and thought we would give it a shot without any expectations. In short, we will return. It is just two rooms, each a modest independent building at the end of the owners home. The room we used...

My husband is a great amateur chef and he was stunned by how well equipped the kitchen is here, sharp knives, great pots and pans, etc! We stayed 3 nights and regretted having to leave because the room was booked by someone the rest of the week. In the 6 weeks and 14 places we stayed, this was the place...

Spent a really wonderful day with Sybil at one of her cooking classes. Learned how to prepare 'parrot' fish in six different ways - all amazingly delicious! Also made my first home made mayonnaise (with a jalapeno garlic kick!). Also, a lovely pudding, plus cucumbers as a hot and savoury veg. Sybil is great to work with ... patient, knowledgeable...
