Clean, spacious rooms. Comfy beds. Portable fan. Hair dryer. Convenient coin-op laundromat, rv park, large gift shop and general store, lounge and restaurant. Lots of flowers. Located on the banks of the Yukon River. Still, the hotel is little dated and could benefit from a bit more maintenance. Ceilings to second floor are hollow, so kids running and jumping in...

Stayed at Hotel Carmacks twice in 4 days (on the way to Dawson City and again on the way back to Whitehorse). Rooms were clean. Staff were very accommodating. But the rooms were extremely HOT. Even with the window open and the fan on, could not cool down the room (and it was not that warm outside). Blown away by...

Everything about my stay at the Hotel Carmacks was excellent. From the beautiful and vibrant hanging baskets of flowers to the very comfortable room to the amazing store. There was so much interesting stuff that even I enjoyed shopping ((which I almost never do)). I even bought myself a Tiffany lamp! This is so unlike me!! Anyways, this is a...

stuff is very friendly, free parking, beds are very comfortable. rooms are very hot, no ac. internet to pay, but does not work, no one there to do refund... washrooms add showers could be renovated, looking greenish due to sulfide in the water... nothing to do here, it is just good for sleeping.

Stayed in the RV park out back. It was small but clean with beautiful views of the river. I liked that they had trash cans through out the park. Alot of parks only have one dumpster and it's can be a hike to it. Anyway, it's next to the river with a wonderful boardwalk. My dogs were very tired that...

The reviews on here aren't that great, but with no other choices we had to stay here. Had a reasonably clean room, with a comfortable bed. Water is very sulphuric, bathrooms are dated. But a warm room and a good bed in a place this remote add up to this being a pretty good option!

The Carmacks hotel has undergone some dramatic improvements since I stayed there a couple of years ago. Most important being (to me) wonderful new beds, along with new linens, pillows, and even cloudy duvets. Carpets and drapes are also new. I'm told the bathrooms are also slated for complete replacement, as the sulfuric water common to that area has damaged...

OK for a night stop over but there's not much there! We stayed in one of the cabins for the night which were basic and very tired. Place is in need on a freshen up. Towels were old and ragged as were curtains and bedspreads.

As another reviewer commented, this is a hotel in a fairly remote part of the Territory. The rooms are dated, but clean. (I have not stayed in a cabin.) The water has an unusual smell, but it is perfectly safe to drink. The bar can be boisterous, but the locals are friendly. Bar prices are comparable to any establishment in...

This little hotel was a pleasant surprise. I stayed here in May, before the campground had more than one or two campers. It was wonderfully quiet, the river was beautiful, and the boardwalk along the river was a great way to stretch your legs and take in some of the village and river views.
