If you are looking for a hostel located in a great and quiet part of Donegal, this is the hostel to go ! Franck the owner is kind and up and ready for your every need. He also lit up a fire for us in the evening ! The sheets are clean and the kitchen/bathroom are very functional.

We went to Malin Beg Hostel for Paddy's weekend. It's in a picturesque setting, although it rained for most of the time we were there. It is breathtaking nevertheless, with beeches and cliffs nearby. We paid €114 for 3 night. For that we got an en-suite double room with a sea view. The hostel is spotless, with everything you may...

Went here for a few days and Frank was the perfect host as everytime we went before. Arrived on the Friday afternoon and the fire was on and the main room was warm and cosy. Frank had the fire on and he made sure it didn't go out the whole weekend. Great place if you want to escape a phone...

Now that we are home again after traveling Ireland for five weeks, there are a few standout experiences that float to the top of our memories that were made there. Our experience at Malinbeg Hostel was one of those special ones. The "hostel" is more like a lodge with small but bright rooms, many with there own bath. There are...

You need to watch out for sheep on the road near this place as you really get out into the real countryside! Very refreshing getting away from civilization (and technology- no wifi). Frank was a very welcoming and friendly host. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, very quiet so great place to catch up on quality sleep. Would definitely recommend.

This is the best hostel we have stayed in during our long travels around the UK. Clean, comfortable and with a wonderful open fire where we chatted to all and sundry at night, the hostel is close to a beautiful beach and some wild, wonderful coastline. The manager, Frank, made us feel at home and our only regret was not...

Having driven straight off the ferry and breaking down just outside of Monaghan, fully repaired and back on the road (fabulous Irish chaps with vans to the rescue) we headed out to Glencolmcille. 8 hours later than anticipated we were in no mood to end up with the usual basic, unfriendly, dour hostel. We got to Glencolmcille, ended up ever...
