The Wayford Bridge Inn stands out for its inviting atmosphere and cleanliness, with numerous travelers commending the spotless rooms and well-kept facilities. Its range of amenities, including spacious rooms and dining variety, alongside its pet-friendly policy, consistently receive praise. Guests have frequently highlighted the warm and professional service provided by the staff. While the rooms are generally appreciated for their comfort, a few guests have mentioned issues with noise and ventilation. The inn's value and convenient location for sightseeing are also well-regarded, despite some disappointment over limited riverside access.

This Inn offers good value for money but I would suggest that any more than £80 per night is probably over priced unless you go for the newly decorated garden rooms possibly. As the Inn is on a main road and there is no air conditioning in the rooms (although fans provided in the cupboard), I would probably suggest not staying during a hot spell unless you can sleep through a small amount of traffic noise.

Equally, this hotel is definitely no good for anyone who relies on wi-fi, as it is shockingly bad all over the hotel (even using the resident wi-fi which is better - 10mb download) so don't expect to watch any videos etc.

The Inn itself is homely and offers a good selection of the usual pub grub. We were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the food too. Small errors were made by staff throughout our stay but to be fair, it was clear that they had a great deal to contend with, given the new COVID guidelines for hotels to stick to. I felt sorry for the staff as they seemed to be running all over the place just trying to keep up with the cleaning and having to bring EVERYTHING to the table, including salt and pepper.

Enjoying a drink in the bar was quite a challenge on 2 evenings. The only areas in the hotel you can drink in is the lounge area or outside, not in the main bar area or restaurant. This is fine but when it is cold outside and the lounge is full already (taking into account social distancing indoors), its quite frustrating to be told you can't sit anywhere else, especially when a whole dining area is sat empty at 8.15pm waiting for deep cleaning. We did eventually get seated on a reserved table on condition that we would vacate by 9pm, I think the fact I refused to purchase our drinks (just poured) unless they found us somewhere indoors had something to do with it!

The bar manager was very good at explaining the reasons for the inflexibility but both my husband and I did feel that, with small tweeks here and there like a slightly later deep clean, things would be much better for both staff and hotel guests.

All staff were extremely helpful and obliging and I am fairly confident that, in normal times, much of our negative experiences would not have been there.

We visited the restaurant at the hotel for an evening meal on the last day of our holiday. I booked in advance on the day that we wanted to go, as we were a group of 6 including 2 children I thought it best to book ahead.

On arrival we were promptly seated by the restaurant's Front of House. I noted the interior and exterior of the hotel/restaurant was presented to a very high standard which exceeded my expectations. Having read previous reviews these were already set quite high. Covid measures were very clearly explained and documented with plenty of signs and notices in place.

The restaurant itself is very nicely laid out with tables spread across several rooms on the ground floor which make for a very intimate and cosy dining experience. We were promptly sat in a room with 2 other tables and given menus and shown the specials board.

The staff at the hotel were very well presented and trained to a very high standard, beyond what I would expect for a village restaurant/hotel. At every interaction the staff were friendly and courteous and always made an effort to interact with the children. We gave our drinks order which were brought out promptly. This was followed by food orders when the drinks arrived.

The menu had great choice with traditional pub fare and bistro dishes. This was nicely complimented by the specials board which had even more options to choose from. Travelling with a vegetarian this was not a problem here as many of the options came in vegetarian and even vegan options which we appreciated. This is not typical, in my opinion, of establishments out in the country.

The food took approximately 30 minutes to arrive, the menu does state that everything is cooked from scratch and to allow 30 minutes. All the food arrived well presented, obviously cooked fresh and was piping hot. We all enjoyed our meals and the quality was well above what you might expect from a chain pub such as Wetherspoons. We were pro-actively given sauces and condiments which I appreciated. Following the main course we ordered several desserts from the specials board which were equally as excellent.

Overall we really enjoyed our meal and wouldn't hesitate to go back. We have no complaints at all other than my wife thought the portion size was a bit big for what she ordered. Not a problem in my opinion. The staff were trained well beyond our expectations, the setting was beautifully laid out and appointed and the food was beautifully presented with a menu full of character and choice which was significantly better than other comparable establishments.

With regards to value for money I cannot comment as I did not see the bill or pay for the meal but the prices on the menu I would say were inline with the quality of food/service we received.

This hotel/restaurant/bar is fabulous & we had a lovely long weekend break here.
The staff are a credit to the owners with their first class customer service, friendliness & "can't do enough for you" attitude-amazing!!
We opted for a garden room which was seperate to the main building. A very good size with kingsize bed & 2 armchairs/coffee table in a seating area by the main window. Tea tray stocked will all necessities, large wardrobe & decent mirrors/plug sockets. Bathroom was huge with large walk in shower & toiletries too. Usual hotel towels which were clean & changed when required. Bed was comfy, room was clean & serviced per our requirements. My only recommendation to improve this room would be a mat outside the front door to wipe your feet before entering or one just inside the door.
Breakfast was included in the rate & was superb. Good choice & cooked to order too. The best eggs benedict I've had for some time-compliments to the chef!
We also ate in the restaurant on Friday & Sunday evening & what impressed me on route to the hotel was their phone call to see if a table for dinner was required on Friday night. So thoughtful & pleased that we took up their offer as this place gets booked up & quite rightly so for the ambience, food & service. The steak & kidney pudding was amazing & proper filled us up!
This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the Norfolk broads & coast line & plenty of onsite parking too.
I'm sure we'll return as we love our boating trips (day boat hire just opposite hotel or full hire in Stalham up the road)
Thanks to all for making our stay a happy & memorable one!

With COVID cancelling 2 holidays, we decided to head to Norfolk, as it’s part of the UK we’d not visited before.
We chose the Wayford Bridge Inn as it was centrally located to visit the Broads, Gt Yarmouth and the North Norfolk Coast, we also brought our dog with us too.
The hotel was a great find! We had a modern large room with a large comfortable bed and a new bathroom with a large shower with great pressure. It was quiet- I’d read reviews about road noise, but didn’t notice it at all.
The food was excellent, breakfast and evening meal. Good wide choice. The staff were great, they were relaxed and friendly and made us and our dog feel at home. They handled the COVID19 precautions extremely well, it can’t be easy, but good on them. Other guests seemed chilled and happy, which gave the place a great feel. Lovely 3 days away. Thanks Wayford Bridge Inn for looking after us in Norfolk!

Just checked out after a 3 night stay here. Its also the first time we have gone anywhere since Corona virus and we have absolutely LOVED our stay!
Wonderful service (for humans and floofs), delicious food and perfect location for beach, walks, boat trips etc
The staff stopped at nothing to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel so safe and welcome.
Such friendly people and a lovely energy throughout the hotel.

We will be back!

We had an excellent stay here. Although not disabled we had a disabled friendly garden room facilities in this room for disabled guests are excellent with a wheelchair accessible shower in a very large bathroom. The room was exceptionally clean with all you could need, very light with a lot of space. We ate in the restaurant and the quantity of the food was good well cooked and nice size portions.. the staff are extremely helpful and polite.
Although we didn’t have our dog with us this hotel is extremely dog friendly and they are genuinely made to feel welcomed and constantly plied with dog treats. Breakfast in the morning was good with plenty of toast and coffee on offer. It’s not a chain hotel and the personal approach we received really showed.

Stayed for a 4 night break on a half board basis. Room spotless great towels and linens. Comfy bed. The hospitality tray was meagre though. 2 tea bags 2 sachets of 2 different coffees 2 sugars and 2 small milks. 1 packet of biscuits between 2. No bottled water or tissues. The choice of food very good and tasted delicious. But hot food needs hot plates not Luke warm. We were allocated an accessible room in the garden. This room was furthest from the dining room and on enquiring was told that it was nearer help etc. Not too good for the slightly disabled. The room should be nearer to the inn helpers and aid could walk the few paces much quicker.
Overall we did enjoy our stay but got soaked going for every meal due to the weather will ask for a room in the main building next time. Staff excellent and very helpful. Recommend to all.

Nice hotel room 17 lovely big room, and quiet. Breakfast a good choice available.
Safe distancing and hand sanitizer is available at entrances to hotel, and in restaurant. Food menu ok but is the same at lunchtime, as in the evening.
So bit boring if eating here every day. Location is good as not far to Wroxham, Gt Yarmouth, and a day trip on the broads. But a car is needed.

I cannot say enough about the Wayford Bridge Inn - perfect setting
From the moment we arrived for 3 nights B&B the stay turned out to be one of the most memorable my wife and I have ever experienced
The room overlooked the canal and was large, spotless and spacious.
The meals (including 3 breakfasts) and 2 evening meals) were of a very high standard with lots of choice and a large Specials Board every evening.
The owner and ALL of the staff were fantastic, very attentive and made us so welcome.
Will definitely stop here on our next visit to Norfolk.
Thanks everybody.
