Apologies simply because it has take me so long to post this review after visiting Thorpe House for a Valentines treat in 2016 (see previous review) and falling in love with the place I set to work on a devious plan. My wife Debbie was going to celebrate her 50th birthday at the end of September and our silver wedding...

What a fabulous review to follow a fabulous event which we enjoyed nearly as much as all of Liam and Deb's guests. This was certainly an extremely well organised event and we were delighted to be allowed to be a part of it. We were delighted to help tomake this day such a special one. Kind Rwgards

When you arrive at Thorpe Hose, it looks reassuringly solid and grand. The welcome was warm and nothing was too much trouble for the owners (thanks for the emergency needle and thread!). Our room (Swan), was massive with a chandelier over the bed (!) and a bathroom that was bigger than our lounge at home! The bed was enormous but...

If you are looking at this B and B now, do not hesitate but to book. I stayed for one night with my mum on Saturday 27th August 2016, Thorpe House is simply extra - ordinary. The three sisters Carol, Cy and Pamela are quite unique and it is a privilege to stay in their home. It is beautiful, steeped...

Absolutely amazing & romantic place! Immaculate, well loved home. Very interesting history. Restored to perfection with all mod-cons but totally sympathetic to the period of the house. Room & bathroom huge but so comfy & homely. Big comfy bed that was so hard to get out of when the alarm went off ;) Lovely fresh breakfast cooked to perfection. Close...

Stayed for 1 night. Didn't book in advance. Room amazing with views of peacocks and lake. House sympathetically restored with snippets of history and tales of its recent history shared gladly by the family. Breakfast most acceptable after a sleep in huge bedroom and adjoining bathroom. It was like being Elizabeth Bennett for the night.Dining room superbly overlooking the gardens....

The Thorpe House is an outstanding experience in historic setting. The rooms are enormous in size and the very detailed and authentic decoration awards this B&B to its very distinctive atmosphere. Beds are enormous in size and very comfortable. The restrooms were former bedrooms thus very spacious too. The hosts are very attentive and the service is outstanding. The English...

A wonderful experience. The three ladies were wonderfully welcoming and rightly proud of the amazing history attached to the house. We are already planning to return. A unique place. Immaculate, period house, wonderful rooms, great atmosphere, friendly, great breakfast. You warm to the place as soon as you arrive. Wonderful garden with Percy the peacock in attendance with his harem...

I needed a single room for one night whilst meeting up with friends nearby. The room was lovely and clean with comfortable furnishings, an original fireplace and smart modern bathroom. Very friendly welcome on arrival and a brilliant nights sleep - good bed combined with a peaceful location. All topped off with a great full English breakfast, made up of...

I stayed here with a large group. We used the hotel as a base for a family wedding. We stopped over for two nights and family who own the hotel couldn't of been more accommodating if they tried. We used the large lounge as a communal area to prep for the day ahead as well as setup a small buffet...
