Attended after work with my husband we were the first ones in and last to leave.. Kept company by Ruby the dog whilst being served for drinks. Nice pub and it's beautiful if you go in the summer months and sit outside. We had pizza which was very nice. We go regular so we will be back again, nice cider...

Dropped in here recently for a glass of Tetley's cask bitter, which was in very good form, and a couple of glasses of house white, which was also very acceptable. Nice real fire throwing out a good heat (the weather was, to say the least, a bit dodgy!) and a warm welcome to go with it. Good size car park...

Lovely views, cozy and warm welcome. Nice food and served Sunday dinners in the week . Helpful, dog friendly pub .Made the family welcome and the fish and chips is a must. Home cooked, tasty meals. Lovely walks just outside the pub to burn off the calories.

We went for Sunday lunch and had to wait an hour from the time of ordering to receiving our starters. Admittedly there had been a group of cyclists in before us. Got very embarrassing. Waitress carried one plate at a time which probably didn't help. Very disappointing.

Had a lovely time at this very friendly Inn. The staff were pleasant and food arrived in good time, well cooked and tasted very good. We stayed in the family room, which was very clean, had tea and coffee making facilities (and plenty of it) and a clean en-suite with a good shower. The building itself is beautiful and of...

Puzzled by some of the bad reviews here. We stayed as it was on the route of a walk we were doing. All in all a very enjoyable stay - a warm welcome from the landlady, a cozy bar with a log fire and a friendly dog, excellent food - both the pizzas and the pies were excellent and substantial...

Please don't be put off by the rogue reviews about this hotel (most come from single review rapscallions by the looks of things). 3 of us (2 adults & 1 infant) made this our base for a weekend and arrived late on Friday night - No issues whatsoever - Warm Yorkshire welcome all round; from landlady and landlord as well...

Inexperienced staff and owner has absolutely no idea! Stopped off for a quick bite, wish we hadn't! On entering smelt like stale greasy cooking oil. Ordered pizza and tomato galic bread with tomato, garlic bread arrived totally plain not a tomato in sight, mentioned mistake to bar staff, said they would re make with tomato. We decided to cancel their...

Stayed one night with our two dogs. Had a good room with a king size comfy bed and usual tea/coffee making facilities. Extremely good value for money including breakfast which we were able to enjoy on the terrace taking in glorious views. Wifi throughout. Restaurant looked lovely but having dogs we chose to eat in bar area and ate two...

The rudest people I have ever had the misfortune to meet! Not a typical Yorkshire welcome! This place was worth a max. of £20 a night – normally it’s the guests that are a problem – in this case it was the ‘so called’ hosts’. They stayed up until 1.30am shouting/ moaning in a montone voice which could be heard...
