We stayed two nights and rarely have we ever felt more like we were at home than those two nights! The service and comfort were excellent. The food and service in the cookhouse was great. The friendly and attentive staff made it a very memorable weekend. Already planning a return trip! Thank you Frank and Gail!

Restaurant was excellent with menu offering lots of great options and good-sized portions. Customer service was excellent - very friendly and efficient, despite being very busy at the time. Had one-night stay in lakeshore room - was raining all night so was wasn't able to take advantage of proximity to lake or sunset. Room was good size for the 2... More

Travelled to meet family members coming from a different direction. We had loved Batchawana beach as young kids. The beach is still wonderful. The rooms were small and request to be moved due to no air conditioning and unclean conditions. (apple pieces found under a bed) The rooms we were moved into had poorly functioning a/c and still had not... More

We stayed there for three nights. The owners, Frank and Gail, made us feel welcome and looked after all of our needs. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back again.

What a great place to lay your head for the night or week. It was a long day in the saddle which was well worth the ride to this location. The location is right by the water with a nice clean beach and a beautiful view. Resturaunt has great food with a friendly hospitality. We're planning on coming back next... More

This was a good place for a Friday night fish fry. The four of us all had their all-you-can-eat whitefish dinner. The men each had a second piece of whitefish. The ladies' serving was plenty for each of us. Friday is a traditional fish fry night so we arrived early, to avoid the rush. There were four tables seated, making... More

Spent a night at this lodge off Hwy 17 at Batchawanna Bay. Gorgeous view of Lake Superior where you can pop across the road to enjoy the sandy beach and Lake Superior. The room is roadside motel with rustic charm. Some road noise but after all you are by a highway and when quiet you can hear the lapping waves... More

Restaurant: The tortiere and banoc is delicious. It is crowded and simple but great fun and excellent flavours! The gifts for sale are in good taste, not as kitchy as most souvenirs along HWY 17. eg local Wawa blueberry products. I can't comment on the hotel but I know my Sault Ste Marie family who stay there rave about the... More

Had lunch with a friend, my treat to celebrate her birthday. Had great expectations as this is one of those must-stops along the highway. She LOVED her chicken on ciabatta with mozzarella and red peppers. I had the fish on a bun, which tasted and smelled 'fishy' and not in a good way. And I love fish. Way overcooked with... More

Excellent ambiance. Great food. Salad was awesome. Loved the Hudson's Bay memorabilia decorating the restaurant and the memorabilia able to purchase. Across the street from a beautiful, quiet beach. A must visit if traveling to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
