Stayed here for just one night and wished it could have been longer. Sublime location serving amazing food for the evening and for lunch plus a complimentary Apple fritter at breakfast. Team this up with an amazing vista and a gorgeous beach to walk and it’s a bit special.

The Voyageur Lodge ranks among the best as far traditional motels go. The room and grounds were clean, they equipped the room with nearly anything one could need, ditto for the other amenities (like access to a common area bbq) but they truly separate themselves by providing over the top friendly northern hospitality! All the above an I haven’t mentioned the great location and proximity to the parks and walking distance to beach across the road for a quick walk or swim. But there’s more! Their famous apple fritters (and a coffee) are provide free of charge to all who stay. Well done Voyageur crew!

📍Batchawana Bay - Voyageurs Lodge Room 5 South …. I stayed in this room on my return trip. It’s located to the side of the main area and a nice quieter place to stay. The porch still gives you an amazing view of the lake too !!! …. I love this room with a double bed and it’s the last room on this side of the motel 🏨 … when you check in you get a coupon for a free world famous apple fritter and coffee for each morning of your stay. Those apple fritters are huge, warm and delicious 😋 and it usually takes me a day to eat an entire fritter 🍎…. The new “Grab n’ Go” set up is really awesome and the variety and choice of the daily offerings is great. I really loved the fish tacos 🌮 and the butter tarts!!!! Next time you’re passing by the bay make sure to stop in and check it all out. The @voyageurslodge also has these awesome 17 North t-shirts and hoodies in their gift store which I love 💕…. 🚙 The Voyageurs' Lodge

We paid for an housekeeping room, because we had changed our date, and that is all they had. No big deal. but the air conditioning was so loud it kept me awake all most all night. But because it was 32 C when we went to bed, did not want to be too hot all night. The room was fine, clean and as they said and showed just across from Lake Superior.

This friendly lodge is conveniently located just off the hwy and my expectations were met completely! We arrived needing gas and the pumps had a full time attendant. He went back to his little rocking chair and was helpful in every way possible, directing us where to check-in and made sure we were given our breakfast bags for our early morning departure. Their restaurant was closed due to Co-vid but we ordered our food and ate in our room at our cute and durable little wooden table. Fresh Whitefish and fries and a yummy apple fritter! The room was perfect and clean. Thanks for a great experience!

Lovely place to stop for the night in Northern Ontario. Food at the cookhouse was also great - enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there. Rooms are basic, but comfy and great views of Lake Superior. Check in was a bit slow - due to COVID restrictions and the fact that check in and the restaurant are one and the same. But worth the wait. Definitely need to reserve - and would be smart to reserve dinner as well - as they did have to shut down the take out orders due to high demand. Grabbed a famous apple fritter to go - was still warm!

This was probably the best roadside accommodation we had during our cross-Canada drive. The room decor was homey but fresh and new. The bed was a big narrow for 2, but the mattress was good. The restaurant was excellent, especially the lake fish dishes. The staff were very pleasant and serious about COVID protocols. The location is convenient to Lake Superior Park, and the surroundings are nice, right on the lake front. Book ahead in high season.

The staff here is rude and the futon in the housekeeping unit was terrible. The sound of the hi-way is very loud and it’s hard to get a good sleep. The rooms were clean but very poorly supplied. Only thing that’s good here is the apple fritters!!
