Food and service was good but the room let it down. Needed refurbishment as did the mattress which had seen better days, If or when a refurbishment is on the cards we would suggest that shower cubicles are fitted as well or instead of the existing baths.

What a disappointment! The lodge is is a state of abandonement, in the hands of staff that, although very nice as persons, cannot do much for the faulty, disfunctional and many times broken or dirty things we found. They charge a lot for what they offer. A real pity as the set…
On Self-drive holiday stayed for two nights at Tautona Lodge in tent number 3. It was a very enjoyable stay, saw lots of birds and the evening trip to the bar and restaurant very good value. The staff were very professional and a credit to the establishment.
We stayed in room 10, very disappointing, the bed linen very old and thin, bathroom was dire need of replacement taps moved, the water was hot though. The room was very small indeed. The food also disappointing, at breakfast most of the hot food was actually cold.
