Stayed here twice while working in the area. I've had a read of some of the reviews here on TripAdvisor and all I can say is.....don't go there if you want perfection. Don't go if slightly shabby furnishings/decor offend you. Don't go if you are sensitive about how you will be received (there was some miscommunication on our parties part...

Our visit to Craigadam was for 3 nights. Our first night we pre-booked a 3 course evening meal, due to just arriving in the area. Very tasty and plenty of it and we were able to buy a bottle of wine there too! The other nights we ate in the places we visited, so as to allow flexibility to our...

We didn't want to leave! Beautiful setting and such a relaxing place to stay. Lovely break from The Lake District and arrived at Craigadam after only two hours driving. Beautiful room opening on to a lovely courtyard with feature pond and fountains. Saw a Red Kite and woodpecker from our own patio doors. Breakfasts are fantastic and we loved sitting...

I love the area of this country hotel, we received a very worm welcome, dinner is served in a beautiful dining room on one large table, there is no menu, dinner on both nights was delicious. Our room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. This is a relaxed, quirky, grand house. Fully enjoyed by all 6 of us on our party.

Lovely w/e break here. Celia Pickup was out when we arrived but had texted me to say " door to house open, just go in and make yourself at home" lovely chocolate cake on arrival all of which gave us a great warm welcome to her beautiful home. Stayed in the cottage with intention of going over to Galloway Forest...

A lonely business trip to a rural area on a Tuesday in early November is not something I normally relish, however this lovely bed and breakfast made it almost a pleasure. My room was amazing (huge!) with a very comfortable bed and the location was just beautiful. Richard, the owner, was excellent company (his wife Celia was away on a...

My wife and I had a great time at craigadam. Celia is a great host and there are loads of onsite facilities. Ie snooker, bar. The area is great for exploring the Forrest but also great for coastal walks. Would recommend. Many thanks for having us!

Three of us, my wife and I and a friend, stayed the cottage at Craigadam for a week. We were accompanied by two small pet dogs. They enjoyed walking off the lead in Craigadam Woodland, rather than in the adjacent the game-holding woods. The Woodland is less than 5 minutes drive away but much closer as the crow flies. We...

Craigadam is a truly delightful farmhouse where Celia & Richard assure their guests a warm welcome. I strongly recommend that the superb dinner should not be missed and breakfast is right up there with the very best B&Bs. Craigadam is located near Dumfries - so reasonably handy for travellers wishing to spend a night near the western Scottish/English border at...
