Well were do I start... I booked this hotel through On the Beach have booked cheap and cheerful before but there was literally nothing cheerful about this God forsaken hotel.. which is now called the Som Hotel..

We arrived at night but even so you could still tell on arrival this was a forlorn looking place nothing like the picture which must have been taken in 1970!

Receptionist which is normally the place where hotels lull you into a false sense of security.. nope not this hotel ! The lady serving couldn't be bothered whether we checked in or not not very welcoming at all.

We climbed 3 flights of stairs with our heavy suitcases to be shown into what I would class as hostel hell!

The room was beyond basic! The bed was like a concrete slab, 1 tiny table and a small window... we pulled back the curtain to expect maybe a view of the harbour but instead it was a brick wall!

I complained to the lady in reception who said we hadn't paid for a sea view ... she was correct but I hadn't paid for a brick wall either...

She offered another room up another flight of stairs and said it would be an extra 20 euros a night... this room was smaller than the 1st! The bathroom was so small my 6" foot husband had to sit sideways on the toilet!

So we made the decision after hardly any sleep from the uncomfortable beds to find another hotel and check out!

Please do not go!
