We have just got home after a two week stay here, and I couldn't have stayed at a better place. The owners Hazel and Steve, are the nicest people you could meet and nothing is too much trouble, whether it is information on the area, restaurants or anything you can think of. The B&B was lovely, set in a quiet...

We visited Le Clos Castel for the second time in July 2015 (sorry I forgot to review until now!) and it was just as lovely and idyllic as we remembered when we last visited in 2012. We were keen to return as we loved it last time and it's the perfect location coming off the ferry and for exploring the...

Hazel and Steve are brilliant hosts. They made the stay worth while. They are very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend le clos Castel as a place to stay. An excellent base for visiting the Cherbourg peninsula.

While making a trip to visit friends in Europe, we decided to fulfill a dream of seeing the beaches and museums of Normandy. We were fortunate to make the best choice for accommodations on our short visit by booking Le Clos Castel. We were immediately contacted by Hazel who addressed our needs for bed size, meal preferences etc. When our...

Stayed one night B&B in Le Clos Catel with my wife at the start of an autumn holiday in Normandy. Had a lovely warm welcome from Hazel as we were shown to our room. Hazel brought fresh milk for our afternoon cuppa in the room. We had booked dinner and enjoyed a freshly prepared meal with the other "American" guests...

Stayed again on the campsite. Hazel and Steve are always so welcoming. The little campsite continues to be of a high standard with clean showers and toilets. The games room and bar with free wifi is an added bonus. Hazel and Steve are very knowledgable about the local area and are full of ideas for trips and visits. We are...

Hazel and Steve couldn't do enough to ensure that our family holiday was a success. We spent 5 nights at their home and also took advantage of the evening meal that could be booked. Nothing was too much trouble and we will certainly be returning.

Very nice quiet, comfortable home with pleasant English hostess. Bedroom nicely decorated, good sleep. Typical French breakfast in a very pleasant room. Parking by front door. Coming from Carentan, it is on D971, on the right, 1/4 to 1/2 mile past Raids. Have dinner in Carentan. Nothing in Raids, nothing good in Periers.

What can I say, it was my 2nd time staying here for 4 nights. As expected, it was a pleasent stay with some great hosts. The house has its special charm, much better than a modern hotel room. The room was spacy and the bathroom was en suite as the French people say I guess. Anyway, I will come again....

“The whole place had class and while I only saw the two rooms both had class.I am sure other rooms would no disappoint. There was a road to the front but the large garden and quietish area means you would only get a small amount of traffic noise if you were to the front with the window open.”
