Absolutely superb place to stay in the heart of the Cretan mountains. The view from the balcony is spectacular. I delayed my dinner to watch the sunset. Marina is a very welcoming host who offered Cretan biscuits on arrival, cooked a wonderful Greek breakfast and gave all sorts of helpful info. She also arranged a taxi to take me to the Nida Plateau and Cave of Zeus- really great as I'd been unsure whether I would be able to do it without a car. It was fine- Marina sorted it out :) . The room (more like a flat) was superb, with comfy bed, chairs and tables and a good bathroom.
i had a very large room, fully equiped with balcony and a view over the valley. the only downside is the street that can be noisy on the morning but there is not much traffic. the owners are helpful, unfortunately the visa card machine was not so it was cash only with no invoice of course....
Marina Hotel was our first night on the island and we were charmed. We were a couple and a friend traveling together and we got two rooms. The whole village was preparing for a wedding, a relative of Marina’s, and they graciously invited us although we moved on before it happened. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The balcony afforded a wonderful view of the valley, complete with goat sounds coming from below. Marina was as gracious as they come and met our every need. We would definitely return.
A beuitiful, clean, amazing view and most important - Maria! We had a grate plesure meeting and spending time with her, we stongly recommand! We will come back!!! Dont miss the best restaurant in the village, ask Marina...
The view from the room was fantastic. The welcome was warm. We stayed for two days. However we hadn't realised that it was operating as 'rooms' not a hotel. Yes it has a restaurant open for breakfast which was excellent but otherwise you have just access to your room. Cook top is in the pleasantly large room but few utensils, no shower curtain in bathroom, bins not emptied after night there. Hard to be critical given Marina's attitude and willingness to help eg providing full breakfast when we had to make early departure.
Absolutely amazing host - Marina was so helpful and friendly. She gave us welcoming raki and delicious cookies. Apartments were big, spacy. Bed was big and comfortable, view from the balcony to the mountans - amazing. A sheep sound from here.. Also there was another balcony with a view of a village. Fireplace in the room - we used it. All the facilities to make our staying comfortable and nice. Really nice, clean place and best host. Really recommend to stay here! Maybe it was a little bit expensive comparing with other similar hotels in Crete but the hospitality and a really friendly host was a reward for it. Nothing to complain. Really good place to just relax and enjoy the view of the mountans and the peace.
Very rude people. There is no respect for us.They are bothered us at unsuitable hours. It was the most expensive hotel in the area.I am Greek and i absolutely recommend you not to visit this unacceptable hotel!
Every room has a balcony with a great view of village and Psiloritis mountain. Air-conditioned, spotless, simple and comfortable rooms: exactly perfect for the environment. Owner is friendly, gracious, helpful. The area is lovely, as well I cannot imagine a better place to stay while in Anogeia.
We took a night in Marina hotel on our journey around Crete and it was definitely a good choice. The room was really spacious with kitchen and some basic equipment and the view was simply amazing. It must be absolutely superb there over winter! Once opened the window we could smell the fresh (and cold) air and hear goats and sheeps from nearby. The hotel lady was exceptionally nice and although she didn't speak perfect English the overall experience is absolutely positive.
Well located on the ridge with a splendid view, this hotel offers decently priced rooms with private balcony or terrace and you are welcome there as if you were family with cakes, fruit and good info if you need it. Close to some good taverns and groceries. A very good option in the area.
