In December 2020 we booked 2 rooms. Three days before our stay, the Government imposed perimetral restrictions in the area due to Covid-19, therefore our reservation was cancelled. We requested the booking fee, but the hotel replied it was non-refundable. We have been calling and emailing the hotel for 2 months, and we can't contact them since they don't answer our calls nor they don't reply our emails. It's been really frustrating, since we have not been able to enjoy our stay and we have not been able to get back our booking fee, either. I have tried several times to get within a monetary and non-monetary agreement with them (use the booking for another weekend during 2021), but it has been completely impossible, since they don't answer my calls. These people definitely lack in education, they lack in professionalism and don't have any ethics beyond their project. I just wanted to share these words to anybody looking to book with this hotel. I would highly advice to go somewhere else, after this experience.

Very easy to find both coming and going. Good parking both for MC and cars. It is in the old railwaystation,it's modern and classy. Rooms, the hallways, the breakfast area, all very lovely and nicely looking. The bath was nice, we had a shower. The reailway station is still in the building, but the trains didn't bother us at all. The staff is friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel has an elevator, and the breakfast is delicious and much of the food seems to be local. It is very clean, everywhere. The town is built on a hill, you can walk a lot of old brick stairs up, or use a lift and a cablecart/tram to get up. You will find shops and bars both at thehevel of the hotell, and of course up in the town. The town and the area has a long history, and it is so much to see. Even the smallest cafe offered the best tapas we have ever tasted.

Perfectly adequate hotel, value for the price, clean, tidy, modern interior refitted into an old building. Our room was trackside but no disturbances. The hotel is located at the lower level of the town, so a bit of a climb to walk to the shops/atmosphere, there are however bars and restaurants at the lower level also. Room on small side, not sure I would want to spend several nights here.

We enjoyed our stay at the Parada Hotel in Puigcerda. The location is ideal, the city center is located within walking distance and the train stops downstairs 😁 The room and bath are clean. The hotel staff at the front desk and breakfast room are friendly and ready to help. The breakfast buffet is tasty and include local products.

Normally when on a motorcycle tour of Spain (I go every year), we look for something in the centre of town where the action is, even if the parking is on the street and /or a short distance away. But this one is an exception well worth staying in. La Parada is a first and second floor conversion of the old railway station once occupied by the station manager but long abandoned until an entrepreneur converted it into a classy if 2* hotel that opened in August 2015. The station is just below the old town (which is built on a hill) and has plenty of free parking outside. Two sets of lifts (or stairs for the fit) are less than 100m from the hotel and link it to the town above. Reception does close at 21.00 so you need to be there by then, when with a friendly greeting you will get your key to a comfortable room and bed upstairs. No need to worry about train noise - the windows and curtains are thick and there are no express or freight trains rushing through, just occasional, electric local commuter trains issuing a gentle psshhh of their hydraulics. A good breakfast is offered in an attractive and original roof space on the second floor, and we left contented and happy at a good choice of something different, and happy to reward the risk that someone took to create such a place.

Room Tip: Some rooms have view over platforms and countryside; others face square that backs the station.
