Had a marvellous 5 day stay at this lovely B&B with such a caring host Gillian. She tended to all my needs; the room was great, food and hospitality more than I could ask for (by the way I forgot to thank you for the extra table you provided!). I shall be returning without a doubt. Thank you Gillian.

This B&B is an absolute gem of a find in Cornwall. I stayed in a lovely pet friendly room, nicely decorated with a comfy bed to match then had a nice breakfast that set me up for the day. The host Gillian made me and my dog Meg very welcome, can't wait to go and stay there again. We are...

Stopped over one night in a single bed room (without bathroom) and had a pleasant and quiet stay. Gillian is the new owner since December 2015, so any posts before this date are not really relevant. The location is right on the SWC path near the centre of town. The Portreath Arms is next door and the food was enjoyable...

I HATE TO GIVE BAD REVIEWS BUT TRIPADVISOR DEMANDS HONESTY TO BE OF VALUE. On the negative Portreath is a modern housing estate devoid of the character one expects on the north Cornish coast, and this B&B is slap bang next to the local pub! Our room was a converted garage that smelt of the delightful combination of damp and...

Thank you for your review and your email in which you said you felt reviews were unfair!? This room is the blue one featured in our photos. Clearly as it is a downstairs room the view is going to be limited! (Hedge left and car park). This is our most popular room, there is no Damp and certainly no air...

Stayed here for 2 nights when visiting friends, we had a great welcome from Simon & Viv. Simon carried our bags up to the Twin Room (Room 3) which was super clean and well appointed. The beds were comfy and it was very quiet so we slept very well. Our breakfasts were fantastic with more than enough to keep us...

I would have given three stars normally, as the room was clean and the shower had a good head of pressure, although the room was very cramped for being a twin, and the breakfast I ordered consisted of two rashers of bacon, two button mushrooms cut into quarters, and a single poached egg (the only place during our week's itinerary...

Oh Dear :-( How sad to hear your stay was not a happy one. I'm not sure what happened here as we cannot recall your stay? but whatever happened I'm so sorry you feel that I was 'Bolshy, aggresive and sarcastic' (strong words!) wow someone must have done/said something really bad to upset me like that?! Simon and Viv were marvellous hosts, we stayed in Room 5 (the annex) and were delighted with the room. The breakfast was superb, the room was superb, the food was superb. I think SUPERB is the word that comes to mind, lol. I hope that the next time we stay there, whoever takes over from Simon and Viv can keep...
