From the moment we arrived, myself, my husband and our 5 children were welcomed and made to feel at home. Having stayed in Marrakech previously, this time we wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we got. We stayed in Villa Dar Dar which is just metres away from Dar Achorafa. The villa was clean and spacious and...

45 minutes drive from the airport, this place is remotely situated just outside the small town of Amizmiz. Laurence and her husband are very welcoming and all the staff here are fantastic! Accomadation is rustic and simple, no air conditioning but rooms have plug in fans. Each person is provided with a towel...showers are very simple with also a jug...

A group of 16 girls (family and friends) stayed here for one week to kick off a 40th birthday. The drive from the airport to the villas was a bit hair-raising but once we arrived we were met by our hosts. We immediately had Moroccan tea and was completely refreshed. The group took over both of the villas and the...

This is such a lovely and relaxing place! Dar Achorafa is located in a very quiet area, with no other tourists around, quite a contrast with the hustle and bustle of Marrakech which we experienced the days before. The living room of our villa was really huge. The villa had a nice terrace as well and is just a few...

First thanks to Laurence for the excellent instructions over the phone before we left Essaouira. It enabled us to drive along some very small roads so that we'd visited the authentic Morocco even before getting here. Had we depended on the Michelin map I think we'd have struggled! The Dar at present seems to be just two villas, well away...

My girlfriend and I recently stayed here for 3 nights in a private villa. Having already stayed in Marrakesh for several days we wanted to experience a different pace of life in Morocco. Where better than Dar Achorafa just 3km from Amizmiz in the peaceful Atlas Mountains?! Laurence, Hicham (the local village mayor and mountain guide) and their team were...

After a few days in Marakech and a great scrub down at the Hamman we made our way by local bus to Amizmiz and then took a taxi the short distance to Dar Achorafa. What a beautiful place to stay. We had our own suite with double doors leading to the pool. A donkey gently braying in the distance, peacocks...

Hosts Laurence and Hicham have created a place of respite and relaxation just an hour from bustling Marrakech. The new cottage, appointed with bits of history, was very comfortable, and the garden - complete with peacock (the only thing that really broke the serenity of the place - was a great place to just hang. Hicham was a willing and...
