I booked this hotel six months in advance and three days before my arrival, they canceled my reservation in the height of the busy season (mid-June) saying they were still doing maintenance on our room. Surely, they had to know the work wouldn't be completed before that. They booked me at another hotel nearby which was totally unacceptable and way...

Accommdation here was very convenient and also expensive. There didn’t appear to be a lot of other options in town and if you have paid for an expensive fishing opportunity then you probably don’t mind the cost.No view of the river as suggested on the website although its an easy walk.Furniture is a mixture of classy and clunky and the hotel...

Our room looked over the road at the back of the hotel and the traffic noise was horrendous. Same menu 2 nights running with no specials change, 2 main courses on our second night were inedible, did get this taken off my bill. Two mains arrived 5 minutes before the other two mains arrived at the table so had to...

My wife and I came in for our first meal tonight (the last thing we did before leaving was booked again) such a cool place, well decorated, great vibe, upmarket feel, food was really good, scallops starter and the burger were fantastic, what really makes this place is the service, which starts as you enter and are greeted as the...

I arrived after a 5 hour drive and was asked " are you dining with us this evening?" to which I replied yes as I had an early start and could not be bothered looking for anything else. I have to say I expected to be seated in the restaurant but instead I was put in a small table in...

I cannot share enough nice things about this hotel. Was recently remodeled and it shows. Everything was clean and most comfortable. The people could not have been nicer. Nice breakfast selection whether you're looking for something quick or a hot meal. Not much parking with the restaurant taking up most spaces but that would be the only negative thing I...

We visited just for dinner and to see and sample the whisky bar . Staff are very friendly and helpful the hotel has a cozy rustic feel to it. Food was lovely and cooked to perfection. My partner loved seeing all the 700 plus whiskies and sampling a few. Can't wait to visit again.

The Copper Dog restaurant has a buzz to it and offers a very varied selection of food to suit all tastes - from fantastic fillet steaks to sausage with 'rumblethumps'! The mussels are simply wonderful - fresh and large - making the starter almost a meal in itself. The refurbishment of this hotel has made it quite splendid by comparison...
