Just home from another wonderful visit to The Craigellachie Hotel to celebrate my father in law's 86th birthday.
The meal was beautiful, the staff were extremely attentive and professional and the surroundings so relaxed and calming.

the painting was not the problem for us , it was the poor attitude , road noise ( which cannot be avoided ) , the dirty rooms , restaurant and bar . We visited the Station hotel in Rothes at the weekend & the ambience , service & dining was of a far far higher standard . but if you book to stay book a suite towards the back as it is also on the road . The cooperage at Aberlour is definitely worth a visit & Glenfiddich visitor centre .. further afield Elgin Cathedral ( ancient ruins ) & Lossiemouth beach / walk to lighthouse is wonderful too . have a great trip .
