Stayed five nights on a return visit and was not disappointed. Rooms in the main building are just right for a beach holiday. The proprietor Erwin is so relaxed that you can not fail to be instantly at home. He is full of tips on how to enjoy the surrounding area. Breakfast is when you want and always good. This...

We stayed over at the Arniston Lodge recently with friends and once again we had a great experience. Thank you Erwin and Joyceline for ensuing we had the best time and for your hospitality and hearty breakfasts each morning. And the coffee you shared with us was delicious. The rooms and facilities are neat, clean and our daily dip into...

We were really looking forward to visiting the town of Arniston for its white sandy beaches and interesting architecture. But this hotel was not what we expected. It really needs a renovation, for one. The furniture and decor dates back to the 1970s - not just stylistically, but actually! And the hotel supposedly offers wifi but it doesn't work at...

This was our second visit to Arniston Lodge in the lovely seaside village of Arniston. Two years ago we had an upstairs room with a panoramic view of the sea and quaint village houses. This time we stayed in a less expensive downstairs room, which was adequate but no view, however steps away from the pool. The breakfast is fantastic...

The lodge was very very nicely decorated, very welcoming hospitality and very good tips about the area, as well as a very friendly and knowledgable owner. The owner was kind enough to let us use the kitchen for some food for my baby daughter when we arrived late

We stayed at Arniston Lodge for 3 days from December 20, 2014. It was a most enjoyable stay. The place is central and we could walk to the beach, pub, friends and restaurants. The owner is friendly, helpful and knows the area very well. A good breakfast was served every morning and the room was just what we needed. We will...

I arrived @ this lodge on the 14th of June, I was supposed to stay until the 17th. I checked out the following day. They put me in a small room @ the basement, more like a dungeon. No light coming through, dormatory-style shower, 2 extremely small single twin-beds with extremly narrow duvets. It was a cold winter's night, even...

Arniston Lodge B&B Arniston is a small laid-back village on the east coast of the Cape Agulhas peninsula, about a 3-hour drive SE from Cape Town. It’s an old fishing village that’s been declared a national heritage site, so all the old fishing cottages are now protected. The sight goes by the alternative name of Waenhuiskrans (which translates roughly as...

First visit to Arniston and we enjoyed it very much. It has a very laid back friendly atmosphere. We had a top floor room [room 1 I think] which was very spacious, peaceful and had excellent coastal views.Erwin was a friendly laid back host and was always up for a good chin-wag.The pool area could do with a bit of...

We spent one night here and this B&B served the purpose. The person at the desk was helpful, the breakfast was quite acceptable, I just .can not see why anyone would visit this town. A much better choice would be the very close towns of Struisbaai or Cape Agulhas...wish I had known this ahead of time
