Stayed in the New Otani hotel for leisure reasons with friends, it is a well presented hotel, rooms are very comfortable and the rooms are cleaned daily. Very good laundry service but not cheap. The breakfasts have huge choice both Western and Japanese so it is great to be able to try new things. Staff are very helpful, if sightseeing...

Stayed at this property for 6 days on business. I arrived at midday after travelling for over 24 hours from Australia only to be told that check in time is 2PM and I had to wait! So I go to the cafe opposite reception to get a very much needed and deserved cup of coffee. Guess what - none of...

This hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, its staff is very polite and helpful and the rooms are big enough and comfortable enough to have a proper night rest. Breakfast included a wide variety of items to choose from.

Very nice hotel. Not sure what I was expecting, but it is a very nice hotel. Get the room with the double beds - very spacious. There are 4 or 5 restaurants in the hotel, and it right next door to the train station where there are a lot more dinner options all within walking distance.

This is one of the "bigger" hotels in Nagaoka. It has seminar rooms, large halls, wedding chapels and traditional tea room. The rooms are clean and rather spacious for Japanese standards but they do look a little dated. There is a bath-tube, toiletries and towels. The hotel has English speaking staff and information about facilities around the hotel in English....

Experienced, friendly staff, good maps available to nearby onsens (by car), good knowledge of the city, massage service available for booking (delivered in the room, very relaxing!), Japanese breakfast made of quality ingredients, good green tea available upon request (at breakfast). Room was comfortable, with a bathtub, tea making facilities, clean linen and towels, nothing too fancy, but good quality....

This was my second trip to Japan for buisness and tried a different place this round. I was not disappointed in my hotel choice during the previous trip but the New Otani blew away the local competition in my opinion. It is located close to the train station and also bus depot. But what really set them apart was the...

This hotel is clean, has friendly staff and very conveniently located next to the railway station. The breakfast is very good, there is a wide variety of options. Excellent wireless internet which is also free. A useful small mini bar / fridge, though I would have liked to have seen more channels on the television, especially when staying here for...
