The staff at this hotel are amongst the friendliest we have come across. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. Our room on the first floor had obviously been re-decorated recently. It was pleasant with all we needed. The beds were comfortable, the shower over the bath more than adequate. We couldn't get over the tremendous choice on the...

We went here to celebrate husbands promotion and found the experience pretty underwhelming. We got seated as soon as we arrived and they took our drinks order then our food order. To then wait 50 minutes for our meals, which when it came (order was medium/well steak) it was actually burnt and tasted it to. I did make a comment...

Popped in here today for my Lunch with the wife. Going by the reviews I must have caught them on a bad day. There was a wedding on so maybe they were over worked. I had the Chicken Maryland and the wife had Chicken Olive, I have to say the waitresses were lovely and friendly but the food was bad,...

We loved this place. Stayed 3 nights on our way home from a fishing trip and fished a beat of the nearby North Esk. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Menu at dinner was varied and we ate in a comfortable lounge bar. Breakfast was very good indeed Apart from fishing we explored the local area....

This is a comfortable country hotel, not modern and slick, but very clean and extremely welcoming. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the food was amazing. If we stayed near Edzell, doubt if we would eat anywhere else! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back next year.
