We had the most enjoyable time at Papkuilsfontein that fed our souls (and our bodies). From the initial booking and arrangementts via email, Wanda made one look forward to the stay and no request went unanswered. Petro immediately made us feel welcome on arrival and again when she brought us supper that evening...lovely lamb shank with vegetables with mash potato...

This beautiful farm has magic. Really. The air, the stream, the stone houses, and the care that has been taken to exceed every expectation. It's spotlessly clean, stocked with fresh cow's milk and coffee / tea and biscuits, and provides gorgeous hot water bottles donning little knitted covers. At sunset the rocks (and sky) turn red and at night the...

We purposefully chose a cottage situated about 2km from the main reception. It was romantically equipped with candles and paraffin lamps for light. Gas geezers were used to operate the fridge, stove and bathroom basin and bath. It also had an outside shower as well as a splash pool. It was exceptionally quiet and the star studded sky magnificent. A...

This is not for everyone but getting away from it all, no TVs, wifi, electricity here is blissful. With views and enough outdoor space for everyone in the UK, you don't need those mod cons anyway. We had our own cosy farmhouse cabin. We walked, sat by our own log fire, sat by our plunge pool, stargazed at the most...

A gem in Nieuwoudtville Area. We had great fun. The bungalows were clean and wonderful. Kept warm in winter with a fireplace. Dinners served in the bungalow. Fit for a king at a banquet. Thank you for an incredible time.

We stayed at PapkuilfonteinGuest Farm in early August for three nights on the recommendation of friends in Paarl, and were very pleased that we did! It is a large piece of land with accommodations at various places on the farm. We chose Matjiesfontein House which turned out to be a very old, but spacious two-room house with an enormous bathroom....

I can not think of the appropriate words to express this experience. Be it the farm, the owners, their service and last but by no means least the surrounding in the South African Spring. Knowing the area well we booked well ahead of time and planed the whole visit to coincide with Spring flowers in what is one of the...

We couldn't get in for accommodation at Papkuilsfontein, but Mariette booked us in at De Lande Farm .(Book well in advance) We did have a brilliant coffee and cake at the Papkuilsfontein farmhouse restaurant, which is lovely and tasteful, the shop there is divine, and the cheesecake was real, homemade and fresh. Family business. We booked in with Willem for...

8 Friends camped at Papkuilsfontein for 3 nights. It was a highlight of our camping flower trip through Namakwaland and Richtersveld. The camping spot is beautiful and the hot shower a big luxury. The quiet and wonderful evenings under the stars are amazing. The lunch at the restaurant was superb and the friendliness of the staff and owners was amazing....
