Probably the most spotless hotel we have visited, housekeeping deserves great praise for the work they do here, i havnt been to renishaw and this place for many many years, so for both of us it was a change, the resteraunt was well run a good wide menu and well cooked and presented food with a variety of fish dishes and food for all tastes the wine list was nice and reserved, but tge service was outstanding, our room was large and beautifully clean comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the grounds fishpond lovely staff were extremely courteous and breakfast the following morning was quick and perfection we both canot hesitate to recomend this hotel.
We used a Buyagift voucher to stay at this hotel which included two nights bed and breakfast, 3 course dinner with bottle of Prosecco and Afternoon Tea. The rooms were a tad tired, not luxurious but were clean and comfortable which is the main thing. Breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. Our three course dinner was delicious, could not fault at all. The afternoon tea was superb, bottomless tea or coffee, so much food that we took some cakes back to our room to eat later. At dinner and afternoon tea, we had crisp white tablecloths which was a nice touch. ALL staff we interacted with were very pleasant, friendly and professional, they are a credit to the establishment. Book your stay at The Sitwell Arms, you won't be disappointed.
Lovely hotel nice room includes a fab breakfast The bar tho is expensive for drinks and food very expensive The pate for starters only came with 3 thin bruschetta type things wasn’t satufying But hotel lovely
We had a three day break which we enjoyed. The hotel has had some negative reviews this year which is understandable as there was a compulsory purchase order on it to make way for HS2....since withdrawn. The staff are trying hard to bring the hotel back up to its previous standard. The room was spacious, the breakfast was good and the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially those at breakfast. In these difficult times for the hospitality sector I hope this once lovely venue continues to restore itself to its former glory.
Visited the area to visit Clumber park and Sherwood Forest. Weekend away for my partner’s birthday. Lovely hotel, friendly welcome. Food was lovely in the evening and very good value for money. Great breakfast. Room was lovely and clean and comfy. Could fault this place. Friendly staff and helpfully and nothing too much trouble.
Our son got married here this week. The staff were friendly, hardworking and efficient. The food was amazing and served really hot. The only downside to this wonderful day was that some of the corridor doors in the hotel bang shut which was disturbing at night. Our bedroom was spacious, warm, clean, nicely decorated and we'd paid more to have the four poster bed room. We weren't pre warned that this upgraded room was right next door to the first floor function room that was being used that night. Also next to the wall of our bedroom room was some sort of generator that made enough noise at times to wake the dead! I'm glad I took my earplugs!
Myself and 7 friends went to this Hotel to celebrate our friends 60th birthday in particular. We had a lovely meal that was presented very well, delish and reasonably priced. Rachel and her Team were so very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere in the Bar and we all agreed we will definitely visit again. Thankyou Rachel for your hospitality and kindness.
Stayed at better and quiter Weatherspoons Hotel was hosting 2 weddings and a 50th party at the same time so kids running around corridors late into the night noisy guests Drinks were expensive We got a voucher for a meal which was good but we're placed in a bar room which was very basic Not quite the setting we we expecting adverts say great hotel in 6 acres of grounds It was on a main road opposite a garage and convieniance store. Staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast OK no milk for cereals And a power cut half way through the complete the stay
We visited on an overnight stay with 3 course meal gifted to us as a Christmas present - Food was well above expectations and everything we had was delicious. It was Halloween weekend and there was an event so was extremely busy - they staff were clearly very stretched but were very polite and attentive. The room was clean but a little basic - would highly recommend a visit as the food was really delicious!
