We didn't stay in the hotel but ate in the resturant which was a very pleasant meal ,the hotel is in need of a spruce up but the food served was very good and the staff who I think may of been the owner or certainly a manager could not do enough for us with a keen sense of humour...

...but it should have only one star. The place gives you a room to sleep over but it was very worn out place. And the pillows were just so bad that it was difficult to get asleep. I stayed for one night when driving by but wouldn´t stayed for another. I think they have had no money to renovate the...

This was a very good reasonably priced French hotel. The welcome was very professional and efficient. The en suite room was good and the bed was very comfortable. However, as with most French hotels/chabres d'hotes there were no facilities in the room in terms of making hot drinks. Also the 'cosmetics for ablutions' were very basic. The range of options...

We took three rooms and stayed at the hotel for one night on March 2013. The hotel has no elevator and for the rooms on the first floor we had to carry our luggage up steep and rather back-breaking flights of stairs. March was a cold month, and in one of the rooms the heater wasn't working, so it was...

My son and I decided to cycle from Ouistreham (Caen) to St. Malo and located Villedieu-Les-Poeles as an approximate mid-point for an overnight stop. We chose Hotel Saint-Pierre as it was cheap (we paid €53 for a twin) but it seemed well regarded in other reviews. And we were not disappointed. The room was spacious and airy, the beds were...

What a find! After a long hard day watching the Tour, we chanced on The Hotel Saint Pierre, and although we were only looking for a bar, the menu looked so good we decided to stay to eat. The restaurant, while rustic, was charming and comfortable, and echoing earlier comments, the staff were excellent and the food was reasonably priced....

Six out of eleven of us stayed on the fourth night of our group cycling (rest were in Le Fruitier). Rather strange place. Said full on the door but very few people seemed to be staying. Two of our couples each had a quad room on fourth (?) floor which were two adjoining rooms. My wife and I should also...

The four of us had a good meal in the restaurant. Not exceptional in any way but it certainly was value for money. We have to mention that 4'6" waitress and would like to suggest to make sure she never leaves. She's a star. Friendly, courteous, efficient, charming, you name it. Ambience quiet and good for our business meeting. Steak...

The location couldn't be better.Right in the centre of the town.In England this would be called a coaching Inn as it was divided by a small arched entrance through which you could park.On one side was the main building and the other newly renovated rooms ,which were spectacular in design.Apart from the main restaurant which was very smart, the remainder was...
