This is the quietest nights stay I have ever had, in a very beautiful location. The house is very charming and has a quirky feel about it. The room was big, comfy and well presented. Wifi was surprisingly good considering that this house is basically in the middle of nowhere. Watching Red Kites circle over the valley with only the...

A beautiful landscape, wonderful family and peaceful environment. Our first trip to Wales brought many fond memories. Our treatment could not have been better with a combination of flexible service, friendly conversation and cozy living quarters. It felt like a home away from home, and we could really feel that it as a family run B&B with Jeanette, Fred and...

Returned to Part-y-seal for another visit as always in need of some peace and quiet. Our hosts, Fred and Jeanette were as wonderful and helpful as ever and we had another lovely massage from Tanya. Complimentary homemade scones on arrival which are always still warm from being freshly made. The breakfasts are also wonderful with more than enough to keep...

These folk are lovely but the bed and breakfast need a lot of refurbishing. The entrance is hugely off putting and quite untidy. With some effort this could be a charming place as the location is quite beautiful. Our room had a lovely view and was very quiet. However I feel there would be better places to stay in the...

This is one of those magic places that life sometimes throws at you. The house is off the road and down a heavily planted drive and there it is amongst the woods. You are greeted by Freddy who is quiet and unassuming but full of knowledge about the place and the surroundings. Our room was massive with the most wonderful...

What a wonderful place the service ,food and quality is second to none. Everything is excellant I would highly recommend this to anyone I will certainly revisit for a another wonderful weekend. All the produce served is grown in a great veg garden. Eggs are from their own free range hens and bee hives produce the honey served along with...

Another lovely stay at our favourite rural retreat. Welcomed warmly as usual with cups of tea and chats. We wandered through the lovely garden and admired the wisteria. So peaceful: just the sound of the sheep and rooks. Didn't need to venture far for a meal as Fred andJeanette again served us fantastic vegetarian food using home grown ingredients. After...

Beautiful, beautiful spot. Perfect for afternoon tea on a sunny afternoon. There is a vegetarian menu which looks lovely and caused great excitement in my (vegetarian) friend! Does anyone know a good 6-8 mile walk around the area? Then I can drag my husband over for lunch...

Stumbled by Part-Y-Seal after a visit to Grosmont Castle yesterday. We had the entire dining room to ourselves which was lovely. The room is beautifully situated with two large windows overlooking the gardens and countryside beyond and thankfully the weather was sunny so it made the views even better. Both my Mother and I had scones and tea. A huge...

My wife booked Part-Y-Seal for my 50th and as a base for fishing on the nearby Monnow river. We stayed for three days. Fred and Jeanette were welcoming and friendly hosts and knowledgeable about the area. The room was large and well equipped with satellite TV and a large separate bathroom exclusively for our use. All the food was grown...

“All the rooms are great we had the one that did not overlook the garden but it was very big and the bed was the most comfortable that I have ever slept on on holiday. There is no swimming pool or children's activities this place is for the grown ups to have a really relaxing break. Leave the children or grandchildren behind and have some quality time with your other half.”
