Amazing!! Real proper Scottish hospitality. Owner Niall knew lots about local & Scottish history plus a great knowledge of Whiskies. We went for a hill walk from the hotel (located just around the corner). Such beautiful landscape and fresh air; recommended if you stay. Overall it was a pleasurable experience and we came away more knowledgable on Scottish history/politics and...

We stopped at The Bognie Arms on sunday night for a meal to save time cooking when I got home, the barman was very pleasant showed us the menu then took our order but we were a bit disappointed by the time the food actually took the barman did come and apologise a couple of times for the wait. However...

Was here on Friday night with my partner and three year old daughter and we can't fault the place. Food was lovely and fresh and very reasonably priced. Staff were also friendly and attentive. Huge plate of ribs that fell off the bone, a steak which melted in your mouth and my daughters kids fish and chips would easily have...

A suitably sized menu, with your typical favourite dishes. Very reasonable pricing - i.e. Sirloin Steak, chips, onion rings, tomatoes, mushroom and sauce at £20. Food well presented. Our dishes were tasty and staff checked everything was okay during eating. We visited mid-week and just looking for some good food, without getting dressed up. If you are passing, hungry and...

Very old coaching house so not 'luxury' but more than made up for this in relaxing atmosphere and friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Food was very good too! Especially enjoyed my breakfasts. Will definitely be back.

Excellent place to eat if you have a dog and like peace and quiet. Very welcoming young barman and landlord. The vegetarian menu was limited with the usual no no risotto that no veges eat but we were offered a very nice alternative that was excellent. The meat eaters had a feast and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Great...

Now don't take my three stars the wrong way, the food was mostly fantastic! Best chips we've had in ages - burger also amazing. Could be improvements as some items stated they came with 'mash potato and vegetables' but only came with mash and peas... think peas is a bit loose for 'vegetables', a bowl of mixed veg (and maybe...
