I stay there always when visiting Manchester. Nice and pleasant surroundings. Rooms good and staff always helpful. Perfect for visiting Manchester United too. Breakfast simple, you wont get a cooked breakfast but continental fine.

If you're looking for an affordable place to stay while watching cricket at Old Trafford this is for you. The location is perfect - inside the ground as is the parking. "Executive" rooms have a balcony from which you can watch the game. We only had a standard room which was clean and adequately furnished but a bit on the...

The room was small and basic considering it was an executive suite, although it was spotlessly clean and had a great view. However we were very disappointed to be woken at 8am by builders bangin and yelling right next to our room, I appreciate there is on going building work however it was a Sunday and I would I liked...

Thank you for your review, we have since spoken to the building firm and asked them to be more considerate in the early mornings. I am sorry that our breakfast selection disappointed you, we have in the past had compliments about the selection we offer so its disappointing to hear that you found it less than satisfactory. kind regards Clare...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and two children. The hotel itself is somewhat tired, yes, it's only 3 stars and yes, its also very cheap, so overall the dated bathroom, stained ceiling tiles and tired sheets can be excused. The breakfast does make up for it and is all you can eat with a fairly good...

We have stayed at the Old Trafford Lodge three times now, and will do so again in future. It is located at the famous cricket ground, with some of the room overlooking the field. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the "other" Old Trafford, Manchester United's hallowed stadium. The hotel is also a few minutes' walk from the tram...

Myself and my 6 year old daughter stayed in an executive room with a view of the cricket field for an extra £5 which was well worth it.. Although there was no cricket it was an excellent view. The room was very comfortable and clean and had all of the facilities we needed. At breakfast there was plenty of choice...

I stayed here for two nights while on business. The room was spotless & the reception staff were helpful. To my taste the room was very "blokey". The wardrobe is extremely small about five coathangers deep with an ironing board fitting very snugly inside it, no-where to put a bag out of the way and I can imagine if you...

“If you are visiting to watch cricket, ask for an executive room facing the ground and as far away from the pavilion as possible. This way, you will get an uninterrupted view of the game. We usually ring well in advance and ask for a twin room, either 16, 15 or 14, on the first floor.”
