The ryokan sits just outside of the hubbub of Wajima Onsen. The property overlooks a pretty, mostly western-facing beach on the Sea of Japan. Service was attentive, kind, and professional throughout. Our Japanese-style room with tatami mats and futon was plenty large, clean, and comfortable. Included wifi worked fine. Sadly, however, and as is often the case at ryokan, the... More

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and enjoyed it a lot. The location near the sea was beautiful. The service in the hotel is great and everyone are extremely nice, polite and are very service oriented. We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel and we highly enjoyed it. One of us does not eat sea food and... More

The staff were excellent, the room spacious, and the public hot spring baths well cared for with indoor/outdoor options. Our critiques were with the location, the food, and a little problem with the roof outside our window. Perhaps we just had too high expectations to start with. We thought a hotel overlooking the ocean would have great views and great... More

This Onsen/hotel is around 1km away from the center of Wajima. It doesn't mind a quiet hotel near the sea. The public baths are fine, the tatami mats are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Bathrooms, however, are small. That doesn't matter if one is used to Japanese baths, since one can shower there. The nearness to the sea makes... More

Thanks for choosing accommodation. We are very pleased that slowly unwind in Wajima. The hotel is in front of the Sodegahama beaches of eyes and located on a hill close to the Wajima Port. Therefore, the views of the Sea of Japan are the things exceptional. From Wajima city and walk a little, but walks while watching the town of... More

Spacious rooms, split into a dressing room, a sitting room and combined bedroom/tearoom, with fantastic views of the port or the beach, depending which room you get. Both views are terrific. Very hospitable and the food was excellent as we took breakfast, Japanese style and preordered a shabu shabu dinner one night and crab dinner the next. We counted about... More

Yashio is a Japanese style onsen hotel. It is in a peaceful setting in Wajima on the outskirts of this small town. You overlook the beach and Sea of Japan or the vibrant fishing port. We did both. We changed rooms so that I could sit back and enjoy the busy working port. The rooms are Japanese style, very spacious... More

A highlight of our trip to Japan, made memorable by the impecable service provided by our hostess. I'm sure being assigned to us naive anglos wasn't because she was employee of the month, but having guided us with grace and determination through the rituals of the ryokan, she definately gets our vote for employee of this month!! The property was... More
