We were interested in the dining experience. Meals were more expensive than most in the area. Meal size was huge but not overly tasty. As a gluten freer, I was very disappointed at the inflexibility in the menu. For example, could not have a roast with no gravy or a salad no dressing.

We were quite excited to have dinner at the Canungra Hotel after hearing good reports from our friends. Unfortunately, we were thoroughly disappointed. My mum who is 71 years old ordered the prawns and said it was the worst meal she has ever had. The prawns were inedible. My partner tried one of the prawns and stated it was "gross,...

We stopped here last night on the way up to O'Reillys for a quick schooner and a stock pile for the weekend. Today we decided to have lunch. The Boy wanted a schnitzel. They menu seem d rather large and I was a little worried. The specials board was also bigger than anticipated. I managed to scope out some of...

This great Aussie hotel ticks all the boxes: Super-friendly staff; great pub food and nostalgic accomodation which was clean and comfortable with a genuine country pub atmosphere (and i mean that in a good way). James rates a special mention for his professional and friendly assistance to two bedraggled travellers, arranging everything we needed with a smile and courtesy. All...

When you think pub accommodation, you think dingy, dirty, old, noisy and rough. The Canungra Hotel is NONE of the above. If you're looking for immaculately clean accommodation with a beautiful step-back-in-time feel don't go past the Canungra Hotel. Rooms are spacious with modern bathroom fixtures and living area is decorated with refurbished antique furniture. Linen and bedspreads along with...

What a great little place tucked away in a hinterland town. Very quaint and full of charm. The menu selection and quality is fantastic, and lots of facilities. Service was friendly, and quick. If passing through be sure to stop for a bite.

This was a really nice, quaint hotel. We stayed overnight and the rooms were surprisingly quiet. I wish we had more time there as there was a really nice common area and reading nook. The meals were really good and filling. Service was excellent. This is very much a family pub situated right in the middle of Canungra. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had a dinner here while the grandparents looked after the kids at Beechmont. They recommended we try the Canungra Hotel after they had an excellent lunch (burgers) served by the new cook. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and size of the meals - I had the pork ribs with Texas sauce ($34) and my...

First, staff were fantastic and so helpful and felt as though we were at home. Our room was clean and aircon works a treat, only downfall would be is sharing a bathroom with other people and during summer the toilets and common room are stinking hot!
