Fabulous view, jaw dropping entry way with infinity pool. Exclusive with under 10 guest rooms. Fabulous restaurant dining, fresh catch of the day discussed with chef to assure you get the very best meal!
Not sure where to start. From the welcome to the view, everything was breathtaking. Scott made us feel like family, a very, very pampered family. We only stayed one night but we will never forget it. I cannot wait to go back. The food was...More
We loved this hotel! Small, unique, friendly, luxurious. What's not to like?
The staff were excellent, led by manager Scott Dinsmore. Everyone was incredibly caring and dedicated. Nothing was too much trouble. Arrange a canopy zip-lining tour? No problem! Call to see when a turtle...More

We used a hired car all through our trip in CR and had no trouble at all. It's much easier specially if you want to go around the country. Quite a pain to keep calling Uber's and arranging transport every time you go from one place to another. Safe. Good quality cars as long as you go with a reputed international company.

We landed in San Jose and then rented a car for the 3 1/2 hour trip. It is a scenic drive but slow at times. You will drive through many small towns and it gives you a good idea of what the non-tourist part of Costa Rica is like. There are also propeller flights lasting about 20 minutes (that will also take you to about 10 miles north of the hotel) and you can rent a car there. I think the other airport-Liberia- would be a much longer drive . One issue with renting a car was that we are told you have to buy personal liability insurance in case you kill or injure someone. We were told that NO credit card company covered this fee so we paid it ( about $100) I suggest you research this issue too. Best Wishes
