From the second we arrived at Bali Rica, we felt like we were at home. Sharon and Mac were amazing hosts, settling us in for our 3 day stay on their heavenly property. Casa Rica was even lovelier than what we imagined from the photos. Although we only spent 3 days, we could have easily spent 7. From sitting on...

We picked this place because it combines 2 of our favorite places -- Costa Rica and Bali. The casita we chose was one that the owners -- Sharon and Mac -- had built in Bali and shipped to Costa Rica and assembled on their property. You definitely get the flavor of both! We loved having our own private dipping pool....

Sharon and Mac who own and run this place are nature lovers and that's what you can experience on their wonderful property less than a kilometer off the deserted Playa Tortuga where you find more Red Macaws than people. One part of the property is a maintained garden with all kinds of trees, fruits and flowers. The other part is...

We stayed at Casa Rica for 8 nights. Casa Rica is situated in the "jungles" of Ojochal, Costa Rica. The lush vegetation on the property is immaculate. Sharon greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property. She really does take pride in it, and once you see it, you will understand why. The smell from...

My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Bambu last April, and we simply loved it there! Sharon and Mac are fabulous hosts who go the extra mile to make your stay special. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. We were also welcomed with a tour of the property and a welcome basket with a delicious banana cake,...

We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Bambu. Sharon and Mac are excellent hosts. We were welcomed by Sharon with a tour of the property, welcome basket, and great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Our stay of 3 nights really wasn't enough to enjoy both the property and activities in the area. The casa was clean and we enjoyed using...

We cannot stop talking about our trip to Ojochal! Sharon and Mac's generosity and positivity made us feel so welcome. This was the perfect place to unwind, relax and explore. There is so much to do nearby (zip-lining at Hacienda Baru, Sierpe River wildlife tour, swimming in a water hole all to ourselves at the Tilapia Farm), but we also...

Mac and Sharon have created an idyllic place in the southern coast. It is rare to be greeted with a smile and a hug and to be made to feel like family. After staying for a week we can not think of going south without spending time here. We will be back!

This will be our 4th year to Ojochal and we wouldn't stay anywhere else but in one of Mac and Sharon's beautiful and conveniently located casas. We love it there and highly recommend the area as well as the hospitality provided by the McIvers.

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful stay in our little slice of paradise - Casa Bambu at Bali Rica :) Sharon and Mac were fabulous hosts who helped us with everything - from renting a car down the road (was wayyyy cheaper than renting from the airport - ask Sharon for more details) to recommending things to do...
