The hotel plus surroundings are great, rooms are excellent, very spacious and clean. Kitchen staff and food very pleasant. But host Rafael doesn't seem to be too enthuasiastic about guests. We arrived when he was having lunch with some people and therefore were very quickly ushered to our room, left with the keys and that was it. No explanations about...

My husband and I came to this reserve to spend 2 nights and three days as part of our honeymoon. We decided not to go for the all-inclusive rate (which includes all meals and two excursions per day). Instead, we paid-as-we-went. We ended up saving money, especially because it was usually raining in the morning and we ended up going...

We stayed 2 nights/3 days in this idyllic lakeside lodge; beautiful grounds, swimming pool, fabulous trips morning and afternoon exploring the fascinating wetlands by boat, on foot - and on horseback! A large family group of capybaras usually come up from the lake and graze calmly across the lawns most days, with the babies sweetly following the adults. The lodge...

We stayed 4 nights and had a great time!! The Posada has very nice and clean rooms, the staff is very friendly, attentive and helpfull. And the food was very delicious and varied, even I had special diet requests which they fulfilled perfectly. For lunch and dinner always 3 courses and everything is selfmade! Also all 6 outings we had...

Perfect light, abundant wildlife ( look out for Geoffroy's Cat) and beautiful sunsets . I won't repeat all the things others have said, this is not a place to be on a diet though. The only piece of advice I would offer is bring all your lenses. We only brought our 70-300 and it led to some frustration.

A small beautiful lodge in the heart of the wetlands. Perfectly situated in lovely gardens, a fairly large pool with comfortable seating around and shade. The twice daily trips were just fabulous. We saw loads of different birds, caimans and capybaras. In fact one just had to take a trip to the end of the dock to see a caiman...

We (two parents and two kids – 8 & 10 – all passable Spanish speakers) arrived at Aguape Lodge (AL) by way of an overnight Flecha bus from Buenos Aires, which dropped us in Mercedes at 6:00am, where we were met by Raphael, AL's manager, who drove us 2.5 hours (mostly on a dirt road) further to the Lodge. The...

We loved our stay at Aguape. It is perfectly situated right on the water, the garden is lovely and full of birds, and capybaras wander in from the water (if you are lucky) and eat the grass in the garden. The tiny village of Carlos Pelligrini is a few minutes walk. We had a few issues, otherwise it would have...

Posada Aguape is a small place in a small settlement in a remote region of Northern Argentina. It takes 4 hours to reach it from Posadas Airport, the last three hours of which are by dirt road. It has its own jetty on the lagoon which not only makes access to the Ibera Wetlands very easy, but also means that...
