Purchased the activity passes, which you need for beach access (new this year), ridge runner and tree top trekking, kids enjoyed the low ropes. Booking was limited, so make your reservation as soon as you arrive at the front desk as the on-line feature didn’t offer the same availability.
Really liked the text concierge feature this year as a response to covid and minimizing contact, as they were prompt and helpful with information and requests when texted ( I.e additional towels).
Can’t say enough about staff, professional and super helpful. Very attentive to any concerns we had and offered prompt resolution. Thank you Glen for your assistance, you helped make our stay both memorable and enjoyable ! We are yearly visitors as BM offers good value, varied outdoor amenities and activities, and above all, great staff and excellent customer service.
Pros - Lots of hot tubs, microwave on the main floor, walkable to the Village,
two eating locations, one with a pub, on-site.
Cons - small bathroom, AC/heating system very loud, the hot tubs were not that hot, sauna at sister location was not hot either - I do expect these amenities to work well. Having a sauna that doesn't get hot is frustrating, also no change room made it an awkward endeavor.
Checkin was smooth and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Agree that property is old but is well maintained and definitely recommended considering the price and location
The biggest issue with our stay was the paper thin walls. I could hear word for word what the people next door were saying. Seeing as we stayed during the COVID-19 pandemic and the hotel is at reduced capacity I’m not sure why they would put us in a room next to a large young group. I’m pretty easy going when it comes to hotels and noise levels etc.. but this was unacceptable. We went to bed with around 11pm (bars and restos close then and not much else to do) and could hear the people next door to us talking loudly, I let it go because it was as only 11pm and managed to fall sleep anyways. Come 2am I was woken up by loud shouting, talking and laughing inside the two rooms next door and out on the balcony. I called down to the front desk right away, they did NOTHING. The noise continued until 5am, it was clearly a large party. The people staying on the other side of us were pounding on our walls thinking the noise was coming from us. I’m so disappointed that the hotel staff did nothing and let them keep us awake all night long. We go to blue mountains to relax, go to the spa, getaway and have a break, we left feeling exhausted and not relaxed at all. I let the front desk know about this issue upon our check out and the manager offered me 10 then 20% off my next stay. I found the likely $30 off offer insulting considering what we paid for the night.
Beyond this issue the rooms are dated and so are the facilities. We had massages at spa inside the inn (Koala spa) since Scandinave was fully booked. The room where my massage took place was embarrassing! It had a shower and a bath tub in the room with junk piled sky high in the tub, and while I was getting my massage the lights were flickering on and off, not worth the $180 I spent. We were able to book the pools at Scandinave which made the trip worth it- thankfully!
I’ve stayed at many hotels in the village and have never had issues like this before. I will never stay at the INN again and would suggest you look elsewhere. Terrible customer service and I don’t want to know everything about my neighbours.
we arrived late due to a flight delay arriving in Toronto and driving three hours. we found out the room is so tiny with one small night table in between, one chair, no luggage rack, and a tiny closet with 4 hangers. we ended up leaving all my belongings and luggages on the floor including ski equipment. the bathroom is tiny you can not turn your back around. why do you list a two beds room that only can fit one person? we also pre-paid two days' lift tickets. so we asked if we could have a late checkout on the second day but got a no, not even an hour late like checking out at noon.
the alarm clock on the only night table woke all of us at 6 am!!! did I mention the insulation between the rooms is so poor that you can hear your neighbors talking and using the bathrooms?
during the first day's stay, no housekeeping service, and only a few Starbucks paper cups for having your own tea or coffee or brushing your teeth. after we expressed huge disappointment, the night guest service agent Neil offered us 10% off our room charges. the next day when we checked out, we were surprised to find 10% only applied to one night. after explaining what was happening and the morning agent reading all the notes, she called for the manager to correct the charge. we waited for half an hour the manager never showed up but left a note saying no . we were very disappointed by the way they treated guests who traveled all the way from the US to ski here, paid close to $700, and left with such a terrible experience. does the hotel care about the extra $25 credit to the guests? do you give us credit on arriving at 9 pm instead of 4 pm? it shows they do not care how you feel. stay away from this run down poor service hotel, we come to the blue mountain every season and stayed elsewhere, and always happy to come back. it is the worst we had experienced. the manager of the guest service is Vanessa Walters. who never showed up but refuse to honor us with 10% off a two-night stay.
Please don't go there you can have more options to stay in the area or 10 minutes away in Collingwood.
The hotel room was clean, but pretty standard. Tv didn’t work well and the room looked dated. However, It is hard to complain about anything when the customer service is so great.
Breakfast staff at the restaurant were wonderful and did a fabulous job! Accommodated my celiac disease and made sure all items were gluten free.
Great stay and we will be back again - thank you!
