We stayed at Weider Lodge located on the plaza of Blue Mountain Village at the base of the ski hills. The suite had one bedroom, living/dining area, kitchen, and full bathroom. The living room had a sofa bed and a gas fireplace. The staff were helpful and the suite very clean. Located in the Village with lots of stores, restaurants, and outdoor activities. We were there for the start of the Christmas season so the Village was decorated beautifully.
Hotel is in the heart of the village with the Starbucks at the bottom of the stairs. The location is great; however its a bit of a walk from parking. The rooms were great! Mini kitchen and coffee maker included. The outdoor hottubs were open in February and were a great way to warm up and relax. Would stay here again when in the area.
We stayed one night at the Grand Georgian Hotel in the village. For the price of the room it was disappointing. First we were told at check in that we had a mountain view room only to find it was a village view. Next when we went to make coffee we found a used filter and coffee in the coffee maker. The room was very hot 78F so we followed the instructions to lower the temperature expecting that when we came back that night it would be comfortable but no it was 79F. Fortunately we had windows so we slept with windows open. There is no information package in the room or on the TV. Most hotels we stay in have a package or because of Covid on the TV. For the price charged it was a disappointing experience. Underground parking needs cleaning. .
We visited this resort for a wedding. The resort provided a shuttle to the event at the main Blue Mountain Inn, and the driver advised us to ask the wait staff to order the shuttle to return to the Village suites when the wedding was finished at 4:30 p.m. When the time came to return, we were advised that it was a one-way shuttle--there was no return shuttle. Management needs to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests. Do no strand people at events, especially the elderly or people who have issues walking...No logical explanation was given for the lack of transportion. Also, on check-in were were advised that the towels would be refreshed daily. However, our room was not made-up after our first night, and the towels were not refreshed. We had to call for fresh towels, coffee packages and toilet paper. We were then advised that the rooms were not made up daily due to COVID despite the fact that Reception staff advised otherwise at check-in. Towels and coffee were delivered to the room in a blue plastic bag, with most towels simply thrown into the bag, unfolded. The toilet paper was not provided. Never have we had such service, especially at a resort that costs upwards of $300 per night. The resort is nice, but very crowded in some areas with tourists. We will likely not return.…
1 bedroom suite was clean and comfortable for our family of 3. Staff was very friendly all over the resort. Play all day passes were a good deal as we were able to do the activities multiple times. Best to arrive early and take advantage during last hour of operation. Night time trip up on the mountain coaster was fun in the dark to see the stars above and fun on the way down with the little head light. All the meals we had were good as well. Great mini vacay for us.
