We stayed at one of the chalets at Tyrolean Village Resorts for a bachelorette party and we had a wonderful time! The chalet is very spacious and clean, it's within a walking distance to MetroWest village, which meant we could spend a night on town and not worry about getting a taxi for a ride back. The staff was very friendly and courteous and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice experience. We also visited the resort's beach and did a marshmallow roast. It's so beautiful and peaceful there! We are definitely coming back in the summer!

We came here for a family vacation. We rented the 6 bedroom. We were a little disappointed that both bathrooms were on same level. Air conditioning only cooled one level. The place is quite dated and can use freshened up, old carpets , mould on chalking in shower, peeling ceiling in bathroom. At the very least carpets cleaned, but the entire cottage can use some freshening up. A couple broken windows in the unit and windows that open on main living area would be nice so a breeze could come in since the air conditioning really didn’t work. There was a huge fan in living room. That was my indication the air conditioning situation is known to not work. Very disappointed in the beds. Very hard and stained . Mattress covers should be used on the beds to stay stain free and cleaned between guests. I was shocked when I lifted the sheet to what I found ( attached pictures). The kitchen was equipped missing just a few items but most of what you need is there. Beach is a far drive away about 8-10 mins. It is a nice beach and area to have a camp fire but far. Hot tub missing filter and not very hot and signs saying do not adjust temperature or can be charged. In my opinion Very basic and definetly not worth what was paid.

I am not sure how to respond to such a review. Our chalets are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guest stays and we have gone one step further during these covid times, we also completely fog the chalets with an all natural (salt based) disinfectant between guest stays. If there was an issue with your chalet we provide 24 hour on site service for our guests but we did not receive any calls from your group during your stay and no concerns were mentioned when you checked out. I apologize if you had a problem with your chalet.

We rented what we were told was a 4 bedroom condo but in reality was a flat above the rental office. Yes it was clean but very old and tired. Nothing like the photos online. Also there is no thermostat or control for air conditioning heat in this unit. It was the office below us that seemed to have the controls for the temperature. We were surprised that we had to supply our own bed linen and towels (due to convid apparently) yet bedcovers and pillow were supplied.. The beds in all rooms were totally unsatisfactory. Not a question of too hard or soft but noisy as heck and old. I have put mattresses better than these in the garbage. You will need a car to get around. This unit is on a busy road and the traffic could be heard through closed windows. I would not recommend this "resort".

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The unit you stayed in is right across the street from the ski lift at Blue Mountain, so the surroundings are a little bit noisier but it offers the convenience of walking across the street and getting directly on the chairlift. This unit was renovated with a new kitchen, bathrooms and flooring this year and based on your comments we replaced the beds with new double and single mattresses. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions.

We booked two 8 bedroom chalets side by side for a family reunion with about 30 people. The Covid restrictions during the ‘second wave’ limited gatherings to 10 people per chalet. So the resort called us in advance and convinced us to change our booking to 3 chalets. One 8 bedroom and two 6 bedrooms. Over the phone they said they were walking distance and that we could actually see the chalets from each other. However they are not walking distance and we cannot see the chalets from each other. They are actually a 13 minute walk (1km) apart. We have young kids/grandkids in the family, so it actually takes us 20 minutes to walk. In reality, we have to drive between the chalets. It’s disappointing. The whole point was to have our families together and it’s a major inconvenience to be so far apart for meal times and putting the younger kids to bed. Please be sure to double check what the resort tells you over the phone.

Dear Guest thank you for taking the time to post your review. We hope that despite the misunderstanding on the distance between the chalets that you did enjoy your family reunion at Tyrolean Village Resorts. COVID 19 created some extremely challenging situations for our company and guests this past year. In your case due to the restrictions on the indoor gathering limits this was the reason that we could not allow your group to stay all together in the original two chalets and we had to split your group into 3 chalets. We offered all of our guests a full refund if they did not want to accept our offer to split their groups up into the number of people allowed under the Provincial order for indoor gathering sizes. Again I apologize for the misunderstanding on the distance between the chalets but we tried our best to make your reunion a good one within the allowed Provincial rules. Thank you for staying with us.

Love the cottage we stayed in. #61 is very spacious and clean. We loved the hot tub but it would have been better with a swimming pool in the backyard! Would you consider putting in pools at some of your cottages in the future??

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed you stay at Tyrolean Village Resorts. Over the last several years we have invested a lot in our private beach on Georgian Bay and our plan is to keep improving the Private beach over the next few years. Maybe after working on our beach we will consider adding some pools to our properties in the future.

Great location, close to ‘The Village’. Beautiful view and peaceful surroundings. We stayed with 11 people in a cottage for 12. We found sleeping arrangements tight and not enough seating in living area. The kitchen was very functional and well stocked.

Thank you Jessica for coming to stay with us at Tyrolean Village Resorts. Sorry that you did not find our 5 bedroom swiss style chalet large enough. The 5 bdrm. chalet you stayed in is approximately 1,800 square feet in size, our next sized up chalet is a 6 bdrm. Swiss style chalet that is significantly larger at around 2,600 square feet. I am sure you will be happy next time with our larger chalet.

We stayed in Unit 40 at the Tyrolean for a bachelorette party. The location of the resort is great as it is fairly close to the Village and the kitchen was well stocked and all the dishware was very clean. The furnishings inside are in decent condition. The interior however, is very dated with shoddy renovations and repairs. There was only one central thermostat and it was much warmer on the main floor vs the basement. Things like linens and blankets also cost extra and was not disclosed to us until after we made the booking.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. It is nice to hear you enjoyed the location of the chalet. Regarding the thermostat and control of the heat, the chalet is heated with a gas furnace and the heating in individual rooms can be controlled by opening or closing the vents in each room. Our Swiss style chalets come with the comforters and pillows and guests bring their own sheets and towels, I apologize that we did not inform about this when you booked the chalet. We do provide the sheets and towels for a cost of $15 bed in our Swiss style chalets and our Executive and Luxury style chalets come with bedding provided.

Awesome place. Throughout the high school years and continued to enjoy the tradition of getting old friends together for a weekend here. So accommodating for us everytime. Great place to unwind and relax. Lots of space for fun games. Picture is from 12 years ago (2008) having a blast. Thankful for having same friends today!
