Lovely hotel, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Food well presented, hot and good quality. Our room No.20 was a little dark at the tea making area and could do with a floor lamp but on request a table lamp was sent up straight away as was a blanket.
Will certainly use this hotel again.

Only stayed one night as attending a funeral, and travelled from Worcestershire. Booked 4 rooms and occupants were pleased with all rooms. Price was good and included breakfast. Staff attentive and helpful. A positive mention Aimee in reception. Various family, some with children, stayed with us and staff accommodated them with ease, additional single beds in two rooms and a cot as well. All had air con, small table/chairs, some had sofa. Clean and tidy. Would stay here again.

Large double bedroom over facing local primary school very quiet over night.
For respectful reasons guests are asked to draw the curtains when dressing because bedroom is overlooking a primary school

Had great air-conditioning and you have a private balcony.

Great a. Free cooked n continental breakfast included in your rate.

Later check out on Sat & Sun mornings.

Due to their deceiving show of cancellation on the website. Meaning the day before for the first 5mins of the 24 hour period. Does not allow you to canx

We chose this hotel due to its location to the sky diving place we were going to

Due to weather we are unable to aky dive

Hotel won't allow me to amend the dates or canz

Chose the specific canx day before because I was aware (UK weather and all) that there was a risk we may not ve able to jump

Specifically booked the cancellable one.

See the usages for an example of their canx which shows the day B4 for s random booking 21st July.

So why on the 25th am I unable to cancel a booking at 10.30am for a booking on the 26th

This hotel was absolutely filthy, the bathroom was unusable due to the smell, the bath edges was full of mould as was the edges to the floor. The room had wooden flooring that wad all scratched and marked and I don't think it had been swept for a week. The faux leather chair was all cracked as couldn't be use for fear of snagging clothes. I complained about the bathroom, the member of staff just ran water down the baths drain and left. Very noisy neighbours in the adjoing room through the connecting door after midnight before we could sleep.Needless to say we only stayed one night instead of the two nights we booked.

Oh my what has happened to this once clean and well run hotel. Firstly only one person to register and give us our keys, serve at the bar and take food orders, he was run off his feet but still smiled and gave us the best welcome he could. The room (20) had an extremely dirty and dusty floor both in the bedroom and the bathroom, I could even write in the dust inside the wardrobe. The shower head was very rusty and was not a power shower but a trickle. This is a Jack and Jill room with room 21 separated by the flimsiest door with a gap at the bottom thus we heard their conversation till 11.45p.m. Curtain only covered half the window which requested you to dress appropriately as it overlooks a school. Could not open the balcony door or room windows for a bit of fresh air (very humid and hot) as there was a couple of pigeons on the balcony and LOADS of bird poo. Next breakfast or the lack of it. At 7.15a.m. (opens at 7.am.) no tables available, no white bread, no baked beans, no hash browns, no bacon , no eggs in other words no breakfast. No compensation for this. We are a fishing club that go every year the hotel knew how many people were staying but didn't cater for them. We have to leave the hotel by 8.00a.m. the latest. Again only one member on staff to oversee breakfast, what a farce. That night all 28 of us wanted a nice cool alcoholic drink. No cider, no guinness and no stella. Next morning we managed to get breakfast and some extra tables had been set up and an extra member of staff on duty. Second night we ordered a meal, 45 minutes after the order was given (trainee chef cooked wrong steaks) we got our two fillet steak meals. Cooked well done instead of medium rare , the lady gave us a free drink during the waiting time and deducted one meal. Total catastrophe. Everything about this hotel needs some serious attention. But I must point out, the staff were absolutely spot on.

Stayed here for a week whilst working. The air conditioners are so Loud that you can sleep with them on. All the time I was at the hotel I had problems with them. I just kept getting other rooms but they had the same problem.
All maid service is pull the duvet over your bed and don't change the sheets even after 6 days of being here I am still on the same sheets.
Staff and breakfast are OK but please only chose this as a last resort. It is so bad I am cancelling my next booking and changing hotels.

No one wants to organise or attend a wake. Right from the first phone call the staff at the Oliver Cromwell were so friendly and helpful. For the event itself we were able to hire a well sized room which was useful with social distancing.
From the moment we arrived staff were on hand to help but not at all intrusive.
The room was spotlessly clean, very warm and the tables had been made up beautifully. The food provided was absolutely superb.
Thank you so much for a really five star experience at a difficult and sad time.

We just stayed one night as a family of three in the Audmoor Cottage room which was a two bedroom with kitchenette and lounge area.
Whilst the cottage was large and nicely laid out, it missed the mark in some key areas.
The floor was filthy, to the point that our feet were black after about a minor being in there. I bought some clothes and floor cleaner and cleaned it myself in the end after our baby had gone to bed.
Secondly, the kitchenette is nice enough, but missing some key items such as tea towels and cloths!
Bedding was ripped on one of the beds.

It wasn't all bad though, the location is very good with shops and numerous pubs and restaurants a short walk away and the car park spacious. We also stayed during the July heatwave and the cottage stayed cool. Breakfast was fairly standard but the breakfast staff were friendly.

We booked the Deluxe Family suite at least 3 months prior to Christmas as we had planned to get together with family.
I was absolutely disgusted to see how run down the hotel has gone since my previous visit.
The 'deluxe' room was far from that. I observed good particles all over the one sofa and on the other sofa this was stained and just disgusting. We could not sit down on either seats. I went to use the microwave and again this was filthy with food particles evident.
We went up the spiral stairs which were hazardous as they weren't sturdy. Upstairs is a double bed chest of drawers and a TV that didn't work.
Back downstairs along the corridor is the bathroom followed by a twin bedroom.
We noted that the TV in the living room was not working too and this was the final Straw for me.
We reported the issues to Amy who was apologetic. She tried to sort the TV but gave up and said she will ask a younger colleague who was supposed to be more technical. The young man came messed about with the TV then left. Amy returned and again apologised but had no solution to the problem. I had to request a change of room as I was absolutely shattered and disgusted.
We were given another room which at least the TV worked and it was a little bit cleaner.
I noticed cobwebs hanging from the ceiling above the bed, floor in bathroom was dusty in the corners and the bath mat was absolutely disgusting and couldn't be used.
Although Amy apologised for the inconvenience I was refunded the difference between the two rooms but there was no other incentive provided.
Thanks Oliver Cromwell Hotel for spoiling my Christmas plans.
