A nice traditional onsen hotel with a lovely outdoor park. The staff are very polite. We booked a Japanese-style room with the Unzen onsen view. The room is very nice and large. The food is traditional Japanese one. Also, can reserve the private onsen for 40 minutes which is very good.

We stayed there for one night with a special plan with meal included and the private onsen booked just for us (for 25 minutes, but it is long enough ! ) We had a european / japanese style room, half of the room was with tatami. You have the confort of a real bed ( ;-) ) and you can... More

There have been quite a few comments about the service, I fully agree that they are very friendly and helpfull. Onenservice I'd like to point out is, that the hotel will pick you up in Nagasaki or Isahaya if you book well enough in advance and also drives you back with their bus. Free of charge! The hotel itself seems... More

I stayed here for two nights with my wife during March. Overall experience was fabulous. Hotel has a daily free shuttle service from the Nagasaki JR Station which you can utilize if you book in advance. Its about a two hour scenic journey from the Nagasaki city to the hotel. Miyazaki Ryokan is an old but pretty classic hot spring hotel in Unzen which is the first National Park in Japan. Unlike Yufuin, Unzen is a not so well-known hot spring town with a lot less tourists. We love the quiet small town atmosphere here! The hotel staff didn't speak much English but the service was still top-notch. 100% authentic... More

My wife and I traveled with another couple from Seattle for a week in northern Kyushu Island of Japan. This ryokan had traditional status and was by all means the best among all the accommodations we stayed during this trip. The staff members were all friendly and helpful. We had a private waiter in our room during dinner and breakfast.... More

This is a very beautiful, modern hotel with beautiful Japanese garden plus sulfur hot spring next to the hotel. The scenery was absolutely amazing. The service was superb. Good food, friendly staff, comfortable ta-ta-mi bed. The best indoor and outdoor Unzen, It makes an idea hotel for family, couple to relax and enjoyed the natural.

This Ryokan is probably a little older than others I've stayed in, but I really enjoyed it - especially the scenery around the town of Unzen. We checked in here as a small retreat mid-holiday and were pleasantly surprised that there was a coach service. Unzen is a long way from anywhere but if you are catching the shinkansen, stop... If you are not driving the ryokan has a coach service that will pick you up at Isahaya Station just before 3.00 p.m. The journey takes about one hour and takes you through some spectacular scenery on the way to the national park. Watch out for the stone terraces as well as the fields and fields of potatoes used for... More

The service is superb! The ryokan staff are thoughtful. I have never been served like this before. We were served with welcome tea when we arrived. A shuttle bus sent us to our bus stop when we left.
