We stayed 1 night in Oct 2015 for short vacation. The place seems quite well rated according to tripadvisor so we decided it try with no concerns. Room we stayed was on the 3rd floor of new building, but it's not really really new, just a few years after its renovation done, very simple and neat. It was such a...

In my view, Bashayma mura is wonderful place to spend your vacation. First, you can have a fantastic time in this place if you want to heal. This place has a special beach with a wonderful location. When you want to swim in the sea, you can go and swim. In addition, you can snorkel in this spot. There are...

10 minutes drive from the airport will get you to this old but homely resort hotel. Lots of retired folk here over the winter with a sprinkling of younger adults here for ocean activities. The beach it is on is lovely - about an hour's walk along unspoiled sand with a beautiful view. Try the dinner one night. There's a...

Its more chalet rather than luxury resort. Its rather old but clean and comfortable enough. Price is reasonable. Beach front property. Raining incessantly when we will there in June when rainy season supposed to be over. People used this hotel as a base for recreational ocean shipping as Amami waters is one of the best place for fishing in Japan....

We stayed at Bashayama for our honeymoon and loved this quaint hotel, it's not luxurious but so homely and staff were so kind and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Our room had its own bathroom and toilet (which we weren't expecting) and dinner every night was exceptional. The beach bar is so chilled and we made many friends,...

This is a very nice resort hotel. It is not luxurious but Amami is more modest and humble than Okinawa or other islands. The room we had (on the main building) was simple but very clean and with ocean view. Beds are very comfortable. Air condition has a special silent mode for night time. There are separate showers and toilets,...

“Unless you want a room around the pool in the older 2 floor block, I would recommend a room on the THIRD floor (or #231 at a push) in the newer east building. Great views. Quiet. Suite type. Worth the small extra price. NO views in any other room!”
