Hasuwa Ryokan has around 5-6 rooms so if you want to stay here don't forget to hurry booking. The owner of Hasuwa is really kind she will pick you up and send you from and at the train station. The room is Ryokan style and has outdoor and indoor onsen. There also bike for free to ride around the cute...

I stayed at this ryokan with my wife during our Yufuin visit. The ryokan itself was nice and the staffs were fluent in English (they were not Japanese but Thai, Taiwanese, and maybe Korean, though the owner was Japanese). Our room was a Japanese-style room but we had to use a shared toilet and bathroom with another room in the...

This is a nice place to stay at Yufuin. We can see the two summits of mount Yufu from the place. Both train and shopping street are at a walking distance. The lady who runs the place is assisted by an international team (when we were there - A Thai, a Taiwanese, and a Korean) and everyone speaks some English,...

It's about 10-15 walk from train station and not far from walking street. Staffs were very friendly and can give you a free ride to the train station and free bicycle to explore Yufuin. There are 2 onsens which can be used as a private onsen. Breakfast was delicious. I got a room at Sakura house which is not at...

Hasuwa Ryoken is the best example of how service can make a huge difference to the overall experience. Firstly, the positives. The location is only a 10-15 easy flat walk from the station and there are lots of places nearby to have lunch or dinner provided you get there early enough. Most restaurants close by 8pm. The main attractions are...

If you planning to visit and stay overnight at Yufuin city. I suggest HASUWA the real japanese ryokan (Japanese style). Not far from Yufuin station you can walk for 15 minutes or request hotel manager to pick you up and return at train station. There're 6 guest rooms in japanese style , 4 onsen rooms (2 inside , 2 outside)...

Very cozy environment. I visited this place in the April and had an extremely relaxing and uplifting stay. The ryokan owner was very kind and helpful, she even picked me up from the train station and also let me use bicycle. I had a wonderful stay over here. Arigatou Gozaimasu!

We stayed in 10 ryokan and Hasuwa was the second worst one. The best thing was its real onsen, beautiful and genuine, but that's it. We were in the sakura building, besde the main one (hopefully the main one is better). The room was cold, there wasn't enough blankets. Most of all, it wasn't a real japanese style room as...

Difficult to sum up our feelings after our 4 night stay at this ryokan. The owner was pretty welcoming and picked us up and took us back to the station. However, we reacted with horror when shown our tiny dreary room. The thought of 4 nights there (intended as relaxation in the countryside after several days in cities) was simply...

We did not know what to expect when there were both good reviews and bad reviews, but we found right away that this was a very well kept inn. The owner speaks excellent English, made us feel at home. Coming from Hiroshima on a holiday, we missed out on sightseeing, was a long journey but we were pleased upon arrival...
