My partner and I spent a night at Yadoya Ohashi last weekend. Since Yufuin is such a popular tourist destination, we could not get seats on an earlier JR train from Hakata station, we only arrived at Yufuin near to 5pm. A quick phone call to Yadoya, and they sent a car to fetch us from the train station within...

First time been to Kyushu and Yadoya was the best hotel we stayed during our trip. The service made us feel so welcome and the room we stayed was very nice. Private onsen was definitely a highlight of our trip. Food was also great and we had our meals in a private room. Will recommend this hotel to friends visiting...

As it was our first visit to Kyushu, we were doing a sampler type of approach on our accommodation and we stayed at two different onsen ryokan at Yufuin. Both were great at their price point (this one almost doubles the other). We were in a stand alone unit which was quite spaceous in Japanese terms , has an indoor...

Been here twice now. Once in 2012, once in January 2017. Just as nice as I remember. The water temperature seems to be just right all the time, but if you like it hotter or cooler it's very easy and quick to add water or whatever temperature you like. Some private bath require a little more patience and work to...

My biggest grouse with this ryokan is the small loft room. We couldn't open up two luggages properly in the living room and the bedroom on the loft floor is too low. You can't stand up and walk to your bed. You literally need to crawl to your bed! It was very disappointing to pay 33,000 yen for such a...

A very decent hotel located a few minutes from the heart of Yufuin. Personally I loved the location of this hotel as it is located in a quiet area of Yufuin yet it is merely a few mins drive from the main area of the town. The hotel is very well run and they have two main genres of room...

This is a very good spring hotel. It's a little bit hard to reach this hotel, excepting call the free shuttle bus of Yadoya. The crew members used simple English and Japanese to communicate with me and my wife when checking in and dinner. Our room name is Araisyu ,with a spatecular space and 2 spring pool, one is indoor...

Our journey started with a complimentary ride from JR station. A warm greeting from the reception and we were escorted to our house after simple check in procedure, the house is not big at all when compare with other Japanese style room, we felt a bit small especially when we had 2 big luggage. Bedroom on the upper floor with...

Though not very cheap, it definitely worth every penny you have spent, in a nearly flawless hotel. Located in a quiet place along the rail track, you can ask the hotel to pick you up at the Yufuin JR station. It is just a few minutes away (or you can take a taxi, about 1500 yen). Once you arrive, you...
