We will never forget the simple pleasures of staying here. So different from the ubiquitous western style hotel, we were so glad to have booked an extra night. Thought we would walk from the station, but it proved to be quite a way. So when Nori San drew up in his bus we were grateful. Mrs Nori is a wonderful...

We stayed here for the first time recently and were delighted by the hosts, their family and staff, the gorgeous location, very comfortable rooms and the seriously delicious dinner and breakfast. Before dinner we trooped off to the onsen (my first) for a nightly scrub and soak. A very pleasant experience. Dinner was fresh, innovative and tasty with a focus...

My wife and I returned to Kunelasob for our second visit. We had a good time last year and were as pleased again this trip. Located in the Iya Valley in the small town of Oboke in Shikoku, this bed and breakfast offers stunning views from its mountainside perch, amazingly good vegan cooking, and a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. The food...

This is a delightful guesthouse, in a magnificent location, run by charming hosts. The view overlooking the Yoshimo river and the mountains behind, is spectacular. The guesthouse is fairly basic, but pleasant. The evening meals shared with other guests, are all vegan, but very inventive and tasty. Our only issue is that there are no shower facilities at the guesthouse...

Were picked up at the Oboke station as per our previous arrangement with the hosts. First stop was a local bathhouse. Then back to the guesthouse. Vegan dinner was delicious. Woke up the next morning to incredible views, and had a delicious vegan breakfast. Really standout.

The host and stuff were amazing! so nice and kind during our whole stay. The food is extraordinary, as every meal is different, unique and tasty. There is no shower in the place, so the host take you everyday to a near onsen (in a local hotel). We stayed for 2 nights, and had a great room with great view,...

All round an excellent experience. The accommodation is very traditional, on the side of the valley looking down at the river - it's truly beautiful. The food was also excellent - it's the first time we had tried wholly Vegan food and we absolutely loved it (the chef is a genius). Our hosts were extremely welcoming and accommodating - we...

We loved Kunelasob! The charming old house, the food - incredibly innovative and delicious Japanese vegan - the relaxed abd friendly atmosphere, the awesome views, the lovely hosts, and the fabulous onsen at a very smart hotel nearby: it was all wonderful. We spent 4 nights and would have happily stayed longer. Thank you Nori san and team for making...

A simple and peaceful homestay with good views over the forested valleys of central Shikoku. It has basic but clean Japanese style rooms with shared washbasins and toilets, and free wifi. There are no showers but the English-speaking owner takes guests (free of charge) to an onsen bath in a local hotel in the late afternoon. The room rate includes...

We loved the sound of eco lodge. Particularly the views it boasted and the communal dining experience. Whilst we are both meat eaters, we thought that trying a vegan diet and spending a few days in the trees would be exactly what we needed after coming from Osaka and Kyoto. To get to the lodge, there was a steep and...
