The staff were warm and friendly; absolutely lovely. The location was great; 20 minutes from Bath; in a beautiful Listed Building; surrounded by beautiful green valley and in a town with beautiful architecture. The room we were in was great; especially with a baby.

This small friendly hotel was perfect for my recent trip to Bath. Easy access to city centre. Staff very helpful and service was great. Loved my room, bed was so comfortable and the attention to detail was appreciated.

absolutely stunning building, roaring fires, excellent food and courteous staff. only negative is that some rooms next to the road so some traffic noise but cannot fault the decor/ comfort of the bedrooms.will definitely book again

Really lovely place. We arrived on a wet and cold evening to a warm and inviting pub. The staff were friendly, chatty and helpful. The accommodation was lovely and the food was gorgeous. Will definitely visit again

A wonderful medieval pub with atmospheric bars, bedrooms and just enough mod-cons! Excellent good value food with a menu that avoids the obvious. Perfect base for visiting Bath, Frome and nearby castles and houses.

We always wanted to stay in a very old guest house and having previously lived in the area and taken a beer at the location and were aware of the buildings history we took the opportunity to make an overnight stay. Spiral stairs to room added a challenge but was handled with support when carrying cases.

Having previously dined at the George during a visit to the local area, we decided we would like to visit again to stay the night in the 700 year old pub. The cost was pretty steep - we'd never paid that much for a one night stay anywhere before - but we thought the idea of having a meal and...

Four of us stayed here for one night this past weekend. What a delight to stay in rooms which were immaculate, warm and welcoming. We had Lunch and Breakfast, both of which were well presented and delicious . What with good service, friendly staff and lovely ambience, I would recommmend this Inn to anyone. Well done!

We had spent the day at bath Christmas market and wanted to stop somewhere on the way home for some dinner. We spotted the George and thought it looked nice. It didn't disappoint. Gorgeous building with plenty of character and food was beautiful. Will most certainly book a room here in the future

We stayed at the George a wonderful 700 year old inn with rustic and characterful rooms. Staff were all very friendly and we dined in the restaurant for dinner twice and had breakfast twice. Food offerings were varied well presented and well cooked . Wine choices were good value and good quality. Thoroughly recommended. Food is served in the restaurant...
