We decided to spend one night outside of Bath during our week long stay in London, England. We arrived at Bath Lodge Castle after dinner and were very pleased with our room. We had been in London in a tiny hotel room prior to this stay, and were so glad to have some room to spread out. The bed was...

I Took my wife for anniversary meal to this majestic looking place and left very unhappy with the food quality. She ordered mushrooms a la creme on foccacia and literally got creamy mushrooms on a toast, I asked the waiter if they have run out on foccacia and he said no and then asked her if she wanted it then...

I was very disappointed to read such a poor review for our restaurant from obviously local people. My management staff have been instructed to get in touch with you, if they haven't already. I would like to point out though that 'mushrooms á la créme' is 'creamy mushrooms on homemade toasted focaccia. The other thing I find strange is that...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, found the hotel to be immaculate and beautiful, the staff excellent, courteous and helpful and the overall experience lovely.will definitely be visiting again.only a could of minor points.while the food was tasty and beautifully prepared, maybe a little more choice wouldn't go amiss.also instead of beer by the bottle, perhaps an actual functioning bar too?although this may not be practical given...

So pleased you enjoyed your stay at our Castle. It's so nice that someone who has had a really good experience bothers to take the time and write a spiffing review. It would seem that only people who have had a problem at the Castle take the time. Obviously we have hundreds of people who pass through our quaint and...

Food apalling, matches owners attitude to guests. Lovely building ruined by ineptitude at every level and insults to patrons too, if you question their attitude. See replies on this website which will give you a flavour of the quality of stay you will get. Best avoid. Sorry about the inappropriate use of descriptive adjective - "Guest House"!

These people never met 'the owners' therefore have no right to make remarks about 'our attitude to guests'. There is some dispute as to whether they actually stayed in our Castle. Sounds to me like 'inappropriate' use of TripAdvisor.

We had a lovely stay here for our anniversary with no problems. The great staff (Mitch) upgraded our room to the honeymoon suite for free which was a brilliant treat. The room was beautiful and we couldn't fault it. Breakfast was great and an all round wonderful stay.

I stayed at the castle last week and the what to believe a european man was our waiter, we had a problem with our food and he insisted it was all okay but it tasted off, he then said he would change it, when he came back out of his littlr chair he bought us the wrong food and didnt...

We believe this to be a racist bigot who stayed at the Castle recently. We had occasion to threaten him with action under the Race Relations Act.

This hotel was advertised as a 5 star AA hotel but it certainly did not live up to expectations. We had taken friends to celebrate a special birthday so I was very embarrassed that it did not live up to expectations. The dinner menu was very limited with no fish, when we asked if we could pay a supplement to...

Our staff and indeed other guests have a different account of the 'various' issues 'too numerous to mention' raised by this reviewer. One couple in the room beneath theirs complained of their rowdiness and noisy behaviour. Our staff, young and eager to please, found the reviewers extremely difficult. The assistant manager who had the unfortunate job of dealing with them...

I love this place! First stay as a birthday treat. The room was amazing, especially the bed! A little too soft for a long nights sleep, but it was so beautiful! Breakfast was better on our second day as nothing had run out. The people who work here are so polite and friendly, they are a credit to the hotel!

I returned to Bath Lodge Castle this year with my granddaughter of seven years and have to say what a difference a year has made. The new management team are superb and catered for our every need. The hotel itself was spotless and fine details well thought out, especially the box of toiletries and chocolates left by the bed. The...

Beautiful room and lovely building. Only downside was the most uncomfortable bed ever! Woke up with hideous back ache. Other than that the place and the food was awesome! Loved the bunnies in the garden and being able to feed them.

Apologies for your back ache. The bed in that room was obviously not suitable for your back. Please make sure you avoid that particular room should you decide to revisit. Thank you for the positive remarks. So glad you enjoyed our little Castle and pet bunnies.
