On the plus side this is one of the cheaper options on Koh Lipe. Also the people running this place are incredibly nice- I could imagine diving with them is great. With the bamboo hut its the thing: either its your thing - or not. We met a lot of people who said they loved it or found it great.... More

We stayed at the Forra for Christmas, and it was very pleasant. Yes, there are mosquitoes in the bungalows, what do you expect, it's a tropical island. There is sufficient protection to sleep comfortably. No, there is no hot water in the shower because it is expensive and difficult to get on Lipe. Yes, it is dirty in the bathroom,... More

I am not a fan of writing reviews about places that tend to fail on delivering good products/ services however this one in particular bothered me and my friend to the point of leaving after spending one night in their so called old charming bamboo bungalows. We did not plan at all where to stay so the day before our... More

It is a totally different experience staying in a bamboo bungalow. We spent 4 nights here. Most recommended for diver as it is so near to a dive shop and you will not need to worry that your floor will be wet and slippery after you come back from a dive. The whole bungalow is made of bamboo. However, there... More

I stayed at forra dive on sunrise beach for 5 nights in December - 2 more than originally planned. I really enjoyed the chilled out atmosphere in the bar/restaurant/dive shop. They made me feel like home, but with palms, sea and a wonderful view! The bungalows are kept in a rustic style, are made out of natural materials and have... More

We booked a bamboo bungalow in advance by email. Communications were always prompt and informative. When we arrived, we had been reserved Bungalow number 1. The bungalow was spacious, with a fan, cushions, hammock, comfortable bed, mozzie net and fabulous bathroom. The bathroom is open air at the back of the bungalow and despite having to entertain a few visitors... More

I came to kohlipe with a few friends and stayed in mountain resort for the 1st 2 nights. Another friend and i decided to extend our stay to do some diving in the island so we sent a couple of e-mails to a few dive centres to enquire about the price, accomodation, etc. I had my eyes on a few... I spent 7 days at the Forra Bamboo Resort on the sunrise beach side. Our purpose was diving and the resort facilities and accommodation were quite adequate for us, nothing fancy but functional and a real change from ordinary accommodation. The staff were pleasant and helpful and most European languages are spoken. As for the diving, really great, we were lucky enough... My partner and I went to Koh Lipe for around 10 days. Our main purpose was to scuba dive! The Forra resort also did scuba diving and on the day that you dive, you get 25% off the accommodation, which was great! Many many thanks to Adriana who helped us so much with the accommodation and booking our dives. The... More
