We rang Judy whilst on our journey to back to Victoria from far North Queensland, at short notice she was able to accommodate us in one of her LUXURY rooms. What indulgence with a pampering en suite bathroom including spa bath, along with a King size bed and gas log fires in all the rooms. Our breakfast the next morning... More

We stayed here over Easter and had a fabulous time. Everything you need is catered for and it's within driving distance to all the wineries of Rutherglen. We stayed for three nights in a really comfy bed and although you are right on the corner of an intersection there isn't much road noise.

Driving from Victoria to NSW, almost given up hope of finding a king bed and a nice room. Rang Judy who had the Bourke room available which is a gorgeous suite with luxurious king bed, fluffy robes, decadent lounge area with fire place and large bathroom with 2 person spa and a fantastic shower. The separate shared lounge, sun room and... More

This was a great experience. We rang on spec for a one night stay and were pleasantly surprised when Judy said yes. Normally you have to stay for 2 nights during the weekend. The fitout is first class and our suite had a very large bedroom, separate bathroom with spa, (again very large), big kitchen, sitting room and lounge. It's... More

We came to town to visit our Sun Harvesting Project in Howlong and dine at The Kitchen, so I selected this based on convenience, right in the middle of town. The wonderful surprise was that the restoration and conversion of the Old Post Office into accomodation has been done exceptionally well, and our hosts not only made is feel welcome... More

My husband and I got married in the Rutherglen region and needed some accommodation in the area for a couple of nights after our wedding prior to the Honeymoon beginning. The Old Post Office was the perfect spot for us to relax and unwind after all the excitement of the wedding. When we arrived at the B&B after the wedding... More

This B & B, owned by Judy and Ron, is a sheer delight, very comfortable bed and pillows, with elegant Decor, easy access, away from the madding crowd. Another big plus is the wonderful bistro The Kitchen, which is situated in the country pub across the street. This is run by Steve, who as Mien host warmly greets guests and... More

We have just had the pleasure of 3 nights at the Old Post Office in Howlong while we explored the Rutherglen area. We decided to base ourselves at the Old Post Office as it looked so amazing on the website and we weren't disappointed! The rooms are gorgeous, great bathroom, huge bed and we had a separate little lounge with... More

This house was gorgeous, absolutely stunning, with formal gardens, gas fires, glamour bathrooms, plenty of space and not a doily in sight. Breakfast is made for you in a light filled conservatory so you can play lord and lady of the manor in the sunshine and either have your room made up or be left in peace. The owners live... More

We stayed here during the tastes of rutherglen weekend as all the decent accomodation was booked up in rutherglen. What a find...This is an exceptional property. High quality rooms (the both of them). Nice surrounds if you want to sit outside and a really nice conservertory where you eat breakfast. “There are 2 rooms- one has a separate lounge area which is great if one person is an early riser and one likes to sleep in (Mckay Suite) and the other is the Bourke Suite which is a large bedroom with a sitting area (not separate). Both rooms are absolutely beautiful!”

“There are two rooms - the Bourke suite and the Conway. The Bourke is open plan and the Conway has a small private sitting room with a fireplace. The Bourke is slightly noisier but traffic finishes fairly early. Both have gas fireplaces, hydronic heating, evaporative cooling and en suites”
