Having visited Tigh na Sgiath previously, we knew it would be the perfect place to relax after our wedding! Elaine and Iain gave us such a warm welcome and couldn't have done more to make us feel like special guests. We had an amazing afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches, cakes and bubbly outside in the beautiful gardens, over looking the...

This little hotel is the perfect highland getaway location. The bedrooms are excellent with probably the best bed I have ever slept in. The facilities are excellent and re enhanced by the attention to detail of the owner and staff. I cannot fault this hotel or the location. There is nothing more evocative of the highlands of Scotland than this...

This is a lovely country house in a quiet location with beautiful views. Iain and Elaine were very helpful at the time of booking, emailing us useful sites and local restaurants to choose while we were staying in their lovely home. The property is a typical old country house, with many original features. The room was very comfortable and the...

Stayed at Tigh na Sgiath Country House hotel in June. Had a wonderful break with outstanding breakfasts and managed to visit some of our favourite haunts - Logie Steading, Findhorn Beach, and Auldearn antiques near Nairn. We visited the beach at Lossiemouth for the first time and enjoyed a delicious meal at the 1629 restaurant overlooking the sea - a...

No longer a hotel as it has closed its restaurant and is now more properly a B&B, perhaps a "Country House B&B" would be apt. Our room was up a narrow winding staircase which presented difficulties for us, as senior citizens, with our luggage. Our room wasn't en-suite but did have its own private bathroom off a communal hallway -...

Only there one night as we traveled from Edinburgh to Ilse of Skye but it was easily one of the nicest places we stayed in during our tour of Scotland. We were in the Tulchan room which had a lovely view of the yard, incredibly comfortable bed and a wonderful large jacuzzi tub. Great location for exploring the Cairngorms and...

Absolutely first rate hotel, from rooms to service to food. The house from the turn of the 19th century is stunning. The owners are lovely. There are beautiful sitting rooms for having drinks. The bedrooms are perfect.

A very warm welcome offered in this luxuriously appointed boutique hotel. Peaceful setting with red squirrels galore! Rooms with jacuzzi baths, very comfy four poster beds, dvd players and other little luxuries. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Highly recommended.
