We booked last minute and got two rooms with connecting door, and extra bed in one room. First impressions were good, situated right by the river. The rooms are rustic in style, 19 detached rooms, (except perhaps the two we booked, which were ideal for young family) in a really pleasant garden setting. Hotel is 5 minute walk from town...

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. I'm glad to read that Sambor Village was an enjoyable stay for your family. In regards to the negative aspects of your review regarding the concrete bathrooms and water stained bedroom tiles. This is an unfortunate issue, and is a cause of most criticism towards the hotel as despite...

This place has everything going for it in theory and puts none of it into practise! The staff bless them try their hardest however there is no leadership from the owner, email correspondence was slow and tedious over a week for reconfirmation of the room. The room itself was pretty dirty, especially the bathroom - no hot water. Breakfast was...

Hi Camerachameleon, Thanks for your review. I just wanted to let you know that the general drop in standards at the hotel has been noted by the owners, and as a result they have made a change in senior management. Having worked here previously for three tourist seasons, I am familiar with the hotel, the staff, and the challenges this...

Potentially nice hotel in a nice location, but the staff were unsure of themselves and what they had to do, they were friendly enough but the manager was a European, I think, who was possibly the most miserable man in Cambodia, the food was average at best, the place is infested with flies in the evening, like you spend all...

Hi Andrew, Thanks for taking the time to make a review of Sambor Village. As a result of lowered standards over the last few months, the owners have made a change in hotel general management, and I have returned after 10 months away establishing my own restaurant. I will be here during the day, working with the staff to improve...

We stayed two nights in this basic hotel which is currently the best option in Kampong Thom. It was obvious that the hotel was built a while ago and that little maintenance and investment have been done since. The main building and swimming pool look nice. Staff is kind but need some guidence as to clean up empty glasses and...

Great little hotel with a lovely relaxed feel. After a busy day of trekking temples and visiting artisans of silver and copper, this was just what I needed. A cold beer, a cool swimming pool and some down time in a relaxed atmosphere. My room was one of a row of single storey buildings. A very large room and a...

My daughter and I stayed for 1 night on our way to Siem Reap. We end up spending the entire afternoon relaxing by the pool which was nice after our road trip. For the cost I thought the it should have been better maintained. Lot of staff standing around doing nothing while the grounds needed mowing and gardens tidying, the...

I know this is the middle of Cambodia and there are very few hotels around so the challenge is whether this hotel should be compared with others we have stayed in elsewhere or simply others in Cambodia. The issue is I am not sure what this hotel is trying to be i.e. is it attempting to be a genuine resort...

This is a lovely place to unwind and have a nice swim and meal afterwards up stairs. This place is so relaxing, the staff are lovely and they have free wifi. You could easily stay a few days before tripping off to Siem Reap or going back to Phnom Penh. The pool is lovely and a great place to relax...
