Broken bed in our apartment and an Irish bar with no staff no irish music and no cider, never in my life have i seen an irish bar left unattended. The food in the buffet was disgusting the chips were raw frozen skinny. servers dont speak english anywhere, its very hard to communicate. Oh childrens lol surprize toys bought in the shop were fake and not priced any cheaper. Only good shop was the shoe shop. One nice Portuguese member of staff!
This review is for the Spa at the Hotel. If could give this place 0 stars I would after how rude and mistreated my family and I were by the staff here. This place was beautiful and the pools are great. Unfortunately the staff completely ruined the end of the experience. At half 7, they all walk around shouting and clapping their hands at you to get out so you are out of the door for 8. Considering the amount of people who are inside the spa, they do not have enough facilities to make this possible such as showers and changing rooms. Most of the showers dont work either. Whilst meeting my family at the hair dryers after struggling to get a shower and changing room, the staff all crowd around staring at you which felt very intimidating. This was then topped off by a women who had black glasses and blond curly hair who was a member of staff. Right in front of us she was speaking to a colleague in Spanish about how we are really disrespectful and that English people are the worst and very inconsiderate. At this point my dad was rushing around to put this top on wet because there was no changing rooms for him and the staff were blocking them off. He wasnt even dry. This women who was bad mouthing us was very surprised and didnt realise that my partner is Spanish and understood the whole thing. Very disappointing, humiliating and when we were rushed out the staff were laughing at us. We were out of doors at 805pm. 5 minutes late which makes this whole thing even more disgusting. With a background of managing a Spa I think management need to reconsider who they hire and either pay their staff an extra half an hour so customers are not rushed. Train them what good customer service is or learn how to operate a Spa efficiently. This is the worst hospitality I have ever experienced and if you want a relaxing day, the staff know how to ruin this for you.…
Not what they promise at all. When they say “ocean view” you can see the ocean but not really. They promised so much and we paid for “everything” and they came up with so many excuses not to meet expectations and all the wonders they said. Food sucks too, microwave warmed hot dogs, lame food. So so disappointed, we paid so much for an amazing vacation but they did not meet our expectation at all. Nada que ver con lo prometido y nadie te responde por lo prometido
Booked a two night stay, half board for 560€. Was expecting luxury! Very disappointed with what we found. Whilst the hotel staff were friendly and worked hard it was the general lack of maintenance and the desperate need of a refurbishment which let the hotel (and resort) down. This could be a an amazing resort, but feels like it is being left to deteriorate. The hotel itself needs an industrial clean and full referb. We had a good size room but it had seen better days. Under the bed looked like it had never been cleaned, and their were long hairs in the shower. Selection of toiletries was good and the mini bar was stocked and reasonably priced. The food and the restaurant was good, the house wine "drinkable". Included in the hotel stay was unlimited entrance to the Balneario (This was our attraction to the hotel). The Baleario has seen better days too. Some of the issues: -outside lift doesn't work -horrible paint over the tiles -a large number of lockers don't work -the mud bath had no mud, just brown water -adults only pool was full of children (not surprisingly as its next to the children's area). -mould around most jacuzzis -various water features not working -lots of cracks and tiles missing on the floor -The windows by the "mar muerto" pool were filthy -general lack of maintenance in all areas The rest of the resort is the same; I'm sure it was nice once, but all areas need maintenance. What we saw in the Gardens show bar in the evening had us questioning the credibility of the resort. Whilst waiting for a drink at the bar we saw what appeared to be the head waiter "reycling" drinks tickets from the bar and giving them to waiters to take the already paid drinks to the tables and then writing down what he had recycled on a clip board. Clearly following managerial instructions to obtain "black money" for the resort. I stayed at the bar a minute after I didn't take my drinks receipt, the waiter took it back, placed it on the side of the till, the head waiter took it, read it and once the same order was placed it went out to be paid again at table. Not everything was bad, we enjoyed how the resort was laid out, everything was close, but for the price we paid, we were expecting so much more.…
When we arrived at the resort, the office was closed, the building was closed and there was nobody there knowing anything about the place. There is no sign, no notice to direct you to any one. It was the worst experience landing in a foreign country and in front of the place you booked but couldn't find anyone to let you in. Also the place was extremely difficult to find, and the address on the reservation doesn't work with google search or any gps device, and the phone listed there was never answered by a person and it was always the answering machine and always Spanish. We spent a couple of hours trying to find someone to let us in, and eventually was directed to the main hotel (after asking a bunch of people in the street). Thanks God, our reservation was there and someone there gave us a key to our room. The room was excellent, with a view to the ocean, two bedrooms and a kitchen with everything for cooking. It's a shame that such a great place was not serviced property. The management really needs to think about their customers and help them out in case like that. We would really appreciate it, if you could just put a notice in English in the window of the office directing us to the main hotel, but unfortunately there was nothing there. Also, if you want to attract international customers, please please do set up your phone and your office with some English!!…
